This just happened in the afternoon at the corner of Homer and Dunsmuir police shots homeless man as he had a pocket knife as VP kills him. Sorry no pix as I was on lunch at the time...

According to “the province” website, he was breaking into cars, and made a move toward one of the officers with a knife. If that’s true, totally different story.

If I was cop and some dude started at me with a knife, damn right he’s getting dropped. We have WAY too many criminals running the streets here. I’m pretty quick to say the cops screw up lots, but on this one I’m siding with the officers. On one side of things people are screaming because we have all these shootings and criminals running around, but when the cops get tough with them people yell at the cops for excessive force.

If the guy wasn’t breaking the law, he wouldn’t have gotten shot. 1 less dip shit fucking up peoples rides and running around with a knife.

The guy had a exacto knife. The two cops believed that he was the one breaking into cars. They should use a baton or something or shoot his leg to arrest him, not kill him..
