i know a chick teaching english in dubai right now and it's pretty much the plush life for her, she's educated as a teacher but this was her first job
her appartment, although it's one of the smaller ones in the building [by the looks of it] it would still go for 450-600K in Vancouver

If Spoon-EG has a point, he wasn't able to get it across as well as he did his displeasure; the latter being about ALL he accomplished. | Of course.. i agree with you............... If you're planning on conning an uninformed dimwit..... then yes.. the benefits of the yield are very high.. unfortunately it would never fly in a court of law.
However.. i do agree with your Spoon-EG point.

Take heed. This is not an RS Lesson. This is a Life lesson for you and others who think otherwise. | Nah, that's only for those who cannot justify their positions thru legit means and need to influence (read: mislead aka politicians, JasonS2K, etc) the lazy or uninformed to get their way.
"Obama has no executive experience, while Palin has managed a state economy for x number of yrs" sounds good. It can fool a bunch of ppl. But a log of yummy shit dressed in soy sauce and wasabi is still a log of shit at the end of the day.
Like I said, this is the internet, not a classroom of intellectual jackoffs. The real world isn't made up of just jackoffs, thank god. Don't give them more credit just because they can make a lie sound true.
Are you one of those uninformed? You're the reader, right? As much as it's the writer's job to articulate their points, it's also yours to discern the shit from the richmond sushi and not throw the entire tray away just cuz it's AYCE and smells and all that good stuff.

Thought I would update a response I got from a freind who was born and lives in Dubai. I sent her the article, and this was her reply
In my mind I thought I replied to you about my thoughts on that Dubai article, but
in actuality, I didn't! Unfortunately most of it is true, but I found most of the
selected people he interviewed and quoted a huge misrepresentation of the general
mindset of those particular groups, british expats for instance. He seemed to find a
few real gems. The bad kinda gems though, ya know what i'm saying? Anyways It was
pretty enlightening/awesome to her about the local guy that was fighting to get the
UAE's human rights laws up to international standards. There is no freedom of speech
at all over there, so I would have never heard of him back home. I wouldn't even be
surprised if the UAE government (who is the sole internet provider for the region)
was to block all access to that article. Sure there's ways to get around their
firewalls, but not to the general public, unless you have some computer nerd friend
with mad skills. So overall yes the article was accurate, but gross exaggerations,
(the gay bar shit, wtf???). Sensationalism. ah. Dubai is what it is, love it or hate
it.

They live in so called Labour camps out of the city, or some certain zones in Dubai it self, they have swimming pools, gym, and soccer and other ammenities, I have sold few labour camp and trust me they are not what this dumb ass motherfucker has said. And trust me I went to India on a short trip a few months ago and even with the lifestyle they have in Dubai, it is still 10x better than back in India.
And the lady with the husband in jail, maybe you shouldn't fucking buy things you can afford, simple saying in life. Nothing to do with how Dubai is or does. I am actually quite happy with the if you owe money you go to jail, works VERY well trust me, you call police and with in 30 minutes the person is in jail, and if the amount that he owes is more than DHS 50,000, he can not be bailed out of jail.
Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world, I have been here for a year and half now and this whole time I have seen maybe 2 crimes. No drugs, no fights, no cocky lil gangsters, no ass hole cops standing around with there fucking radar cameras or handing out V.I's. Even cops here drive crazy and speed, you would all love the roads here, all brand new. Life style is cheap, for you smokers packs of smokes is around 2$, 98 octane gas is about 1.70$ per galon, cars are cheap, going out is cheap, also the biggest Aquafina water bottle there is is about 25 cents, did I also mention NO tax?? The thing with Dubai is there is either low class or high class, nothing in the middle.
Dubai is actually about to pass a law that any news paper company that tries to critisize it will get fined 1.2 Mil, too much jealousy in this world.
Also I've never ever seen this so called nasty beach and I have been to all the beachs in Dubai.
P.S if I spelled anything wrong or didn't use the right grammer than who gives a fuck, I wrote this in 2 minutes.
Article from Dubai newspaper response to this fuck head. http://www.thenational.ae/article/20...893397609/1299
I'll check checking back this thread. |
Yes.. you sold me.
Dubai is the best place on earth.
Clearly....We are all jealous.
