Coming to my house when there were 8 guys with tasers and bats trying to rob me/kill me (I still don't know) but they arrested me for trying to use a weapon (neighbors called the cops when they saw these idiots). And they arrested one of the other guys too. (1 out of 8) but step back and look at this 8 ON 1 and I get fucken arrested at my own house!! Imagine I blew one of their heads off I'd be in jail for life. They could be beating me silly have me tied up shoving bats up my ass and if I shot one I guarantee I'd be in jail for life and they would get a RIP facebook group! Someone hit my car and took off (luckily it was a service rental), I had their license plate and full description and the cop told me they can't do anything about it. a few things,

1, cops dont take care of hit and run, ICBC does. You can be Bill Gates calling in and they will still refer you to ICBC.
2, you are supposed to follow the rules and put a front plate on your car. EVERYBODY is driving this way.
3, Whatever you or your family did to get you under constant watch, must be some serious shit, since cops in Van is fucking lazy according to most people in this thread, it will only take some serious fucked up shit to get them to watch you 24/7.

And I dont think the cops are pulling you over because of what you drive, otherwise 60% of Richmond drivers, as well as 80% of UBC students will be ticketed like you do and RCMP will be fucking rich by now.

Judging from your post, I am pretty sure there is another side of the dog shooting story now.

If the police were useless, your house would of probably empty and you would be dead. Funny how you say 8 guys tried to kill you, and then THE POLICE came to arrest 1 guy. If there was no police, you would be dead. If there was police, people wouldn't give a shit and steal all your fancy cars.

Since then I've never had any negative interaction with the police save for a few speeding tickets. I managed to go through my early-to-mid twenties without any real problems.

I thought this thread was weird from the get go....but now it seems ever more shady

1. Who has that many run-ins with police without having a good reason? I am sure there is one but are posting from 1 side.

2. Police don't pull over kids in nice cars. Its not worth their time; people at ubc all have 100G cars, north van kids have 100G cars, even some downtown have lambo's...they get pulled over for ripping it downtown (100km/hr down beach)...so what have you really been doing?

3. Hit and run are not police matters, i suppose unless both vehicles are being driven. If your car is parked, then the other person is obligated to call icbc within 48 hours (I believe) and ICBC deals with it all.

4. No one can drive around without a front license plate, NOT just you. You also can't wear a hat in banks, carry a hand gun down the street, but again, that applies to everyone, NOT just you.

5. Your last comment is crazy ignorant. Not for 1 second you wouldn't call the police? Obviously you are frustrated but in a real emergency you would be yelling "CALL 911!", don't deny it.

I don't know about you guys but no one is knocking on my door to kill me. Nope, I've lived here for years and not one person has threatened my life with bats and/or tasers. The worst I ever get is Jehovah's Witnesses.

I don't think I've been harassed by cops either. I'm 26, own my own car and until this year, I REALLY DIDN'T match my insurance. Never been hassled by the police. In fact, I've even been pulled over by a cop just to have a friendly conversation about cars before.

The officer kept trying to ascertain how it was that I could own such a nice car. I also don't run frt plates and have gotten away with it for 4 years, with only one ticket. 1) Hit and Run is a criminal offense, it is called "Leaving the scene of an accident" and i think it can carry a sentence of up to 2 years in jail.

Dude, face it, something about you is really shady. My very wealthy American friend is never pulled over like how you describe, and when I was rocking my Supra and looking pretty flashy I was never harassed by the cops at all. In fact, cops were friendly to me. I've told cops flat out that I sell adult entertainment on the internet to support myself. One even said he had a membership to a site I was promoting!

I'm 90% sure they came to rob me except I saw them through my camera's. And you might have heard about 8 dead idiots if they didn't come so I guess those guys were lucky they did. I just happened to be cleaning my guns at the time . If I was so shady why would the police stop the surveillance after a complaint was filed. Penner is probably right they probably saw my car picking up some buddys from when I was a kid that are kind of shady. I don't really care if they watch me but pulling me over twice in an hour (once I got pulled over 3 times in one hour) and not getting one ticket always some bs excuse to pull me over is kind of fucked up don't you guys think? There is nothing more to the dog story. Its stupid that the cops turned an non emergency situation into an emergency. If it was that urgent why did they allow the brother to take off with one of the sisters to rush the dog to the animal hospital? After shooting the fucken dog did he not become a threat anymore? One of my dad's friends his family got robbed gun point had almost 60 grand cash in his safe. They emptied him out. Safe was under his fridge built into the ground somehow the guys knew that he has a safe in that spot!!!! He owns a store and obviously a bit of tax evasion was going on but it backfired. He didn't even call the cops because he didn't want to get questioned about the cash. Surrey is a fucked up place people get robbed here all the time. My neighbors got robbed at 4 am they literally cleaned out their house. My dog was barking like crazy but I thought he just saw some cat or something. Some of you guys forget that my house isn't on chancellor boulevard...its in ghetto ass surrey. But hopefully for not much more then the rest of this year . Second, have you ever thought that you get harassed not because you drive a fancy car, but because your car has NO FRONT PLATES? I hate it too when I am walking around with an AK47 and a bomb strapped to my chest minding my own business and the police harass me. I mean, I am just carrying a gun and a couple bombs, not like I intend to use them. Yes that was a harsh example, yet the fact remains, you are a target not because your car is flashy and you are young, but because your car is ticket worthy. Strap on some plates, drive normally, drive legally and I am sure you won't be getting pulled over 3 times within an hour.

Maybe if your Dad's friend wasn't shady himself, then shady people wouldn't be robbing him; just some food for thought.

I have been watching this thread but haven't commented until now. It is not because this grand conspiracy to protect our own that you speak of. It is because I was not there, I don't know the circumstances, I don't know the OP, the girl friend, or the little brother.

This entire thread is based on hearsay and opinion and that is why I haven't bothered to post my two cents.
