fucked up refridgerator repair guy so my mom opened the refrigerator yesterday and saw some puddles of water inside and she thought that it was only from like milk or w/e so she jsut wiped it and left it then today she opened it again and saw more water there so she thot that the refrigerator was leaking or something so she called up a local refrigerator repair guy the guy told her on the phone are you going to repair it ? my mom said it depends on the price so the guy asked her if she sees water dripping from the top... my mom said no so the guy says ooh its gonna be cheap ..within 100 dollars .. so do you want to repair? but my mom still wasn't sure if she would or not so she jus said can you come take a look first the guy says okay but it'll be 8 dollars .. so my mom said sure w/e . so the guy comes look at it for like about 5 mins then turns to my mom .. so u wanna fix it ? its only 30 bucks so my mom thinks 30 bucks w/e i'm gonna pay him 8 already .. so she said sure repair it so the guy jus said okay .. come here .. u see these bags ? they are up against the wall so the water is condensing from the wall and dripping on to the bag then to the platform ... so my mom was like .. what ? thats it ? and hes like yupp.. 30 bucks .. my mom was like wow u serious ? 30 bucks jus to tell me that ? then teh guy started getting angry and started saying ... YEAHhhh SEE its SEE lais Like you that always need to get tricked to pay ... i could've jus told u i need to replace some filter for 30 dollars and then you would think paying that 30 dollars was more worthwhile ... so my mom was like what the fuck ...but shes liek w/e paid him 30 bucks and told him to gtfo ... i can't believe that guy actually said that and used that excuse to justified him getting paid ... too bad i wasn't home for this or else i would have argued like shit with him *broke it up for ease of reading. ~Turbo E |
Your typing is a pain to read, and I don't see what you're so upset about. You needed his professional service, so he came and gave you professional advice. If your mom had figured out the problem herself they she wouldn't have called in the first place. |
post the company name, and how did he know about C-Lai's??? Asian>? |

he could've said yaa i'll come take a look for you for 30 dollars if u want instead of saying yaaa see i should've tricked u and i need to replace a filter inorder to get that 30 dollars from u |

i'll ask my mom later wen i get home what company |
My eyes hurt from reading your first post, but what an asshole! |
wtf is a see lai |
30 bucks is nothing. The guy came to your house and got the problem fixed. I don't see what the complaint is. When I go do service calls, it's $30 bucks as soon as I walk in the door. BTW... fuck you and your crappy posting skills. |

he said that he deserves the 30 dollars because he said he could've tricked my mother by saying he needed to replace a filter or something instead of doing honest work if he told my mother over the phone saying .. yes its 30 dollars even if i come in and take a look.. i rather him trick my mom and replace a filter for 30 bucks then do nothing and FUCK YOU u could've jus not read my post shit face |
Play nice, you cock suckers. |
he could have tricked your mom and said 30dollars just to show up and diagnose lol in the end he was wrong to not be so discrete about it... but whateva.. |
Anyway you look at it, 30 bucks for him to come over to look at the issue is not that bad. Let it go. |
a decent business practice would be to retain the customer for waiving charges for something as simple as that. On the otherhand, with the economy in this state it is also understandable to charge a minimum charge (travel time/cost). A bit more discretion on the repairman's part would've been nicer. There is no reason to try to make the customer look stupid, and then charge them money after. That's just being mean. He could've just told her it was a very simple fix and educate the customer, but still ask for something very simple.. $10? $20? $30 even but explain to the customer that being there for the complaint was costing him. Any sane person would be at no gripes to compensate for the repairman's time, unless they are total nitwits themselves. |
shoulda charged more |
I would have guessed $80 for them to just come and look. $38 is cheap. |

You got a service call AND the problem was solved for $30. The way he went about is retarded but you still got away cheap. |
Time is money. $30 is peanuts. |
ya $30 is fair he fixed the problem.. now fuck off and go bitch to someone who cares |
puddles of water inside u see these bags ? they are up against the wall so the water is condensing from the wall and dripping on to the bag then to the platform I've never had water condense on the walls of my fridge before. IMO that's a bigger problem than just a puddle. Your door might not be sealing properly and moist air is getting in. |
IF the problem is fixed for 30 bucks you got away super cheap. i guess with the cheapness comes shitty customer service though. just be happy that he fixed it and forget about it and call someone else next time |
30 bucks is cheap. when i go out to clients it's travel time@ $80.00/hr + $.50 per km + time on site@$80.00/hr. |
stuff like this happens in japan all the time ... |
$30 is cheap! there is a standard inspection fee that every repairman charges. go to an electronic repair store, same deal. just that te noname chinese ones charge less. ever had ur furnace fixed. same deal. |
fuck thats like a half tank of gas :O |
