I find that Fuel or X Fuel by Boundary and Henning drive (near Brian Jessel) gives me a much better price compared to Popeye's, at least 10-20 bucks.

Keep in mind i have not personally tried ON before or bought it there, once im done my with mine (IsoFlex), Im going to get ON there.

If you check on svncanada.com, they have other locations but boundary was closest to me.

Questions guys: When some of you say that the Strawberry flavor is nasty/not good, do you mean:

a) it doesn't taste as good as other brand's strawberry flavor?
b) you dont like strawberry as much ?
c) it just taste un-strawberry like?

Coz im thinking of trying it out since my taste bud seems to prefer it (past 2 flavors from 2 diff brands were strawberry banana, and strawberry)

p.s: If i recall correctly Fuel allows you to exchange flavors if you find the taste to be horrendous. Either that or Popeye's, dont remember which exactly.

XxFcukxX 06-13-2009 01:45 PM

^

A) Strawberry in general isn't a good flavor to mix with milk or water because with milk , it tastes too artificial and with water it tastes even worse

B) I in fact really like strawberry flavor in tons of things , including strawberry milk or smoothies or anything like that , but this strawberry tastes like shit and you will get sick of it fast

C) Strawberry is pretty sour but the powder makes it all sweet and i'm not sure how to explain the taste but it's a challenge drinking the whole glass of it for me

But if you like strawberry flavor , don't take my word for it and go ahead and try it who knows if you might like it or not.

I agree that Strawberry or any fruit flavor protein shake is not going to taste as good as chocolate or vanilla. If you want a fruit tasting protein shake, get vanilla and blend real fruits in it. Probably even healthier and taste better.

That's wrong. ON's strawberry may be horrible, but both Orange Cream and Tropical Punch are two of my favourite flavours they have.

Plus, ON Pro Complex in Strawberry is really good, especially in milk :)

TracerFX 06-14-2009 01:34 AM

Hmm... thanks for the input guys, I think once my IsoFlex is done, Im gonna change it up and get Tropical Punch flavor and see how it goes.

I just wonder why these Nutrition places dont employ a "flavor taste test" strategy. They can sacrifice a 2 lbs to let potential customers have the ability to test the flavors to see if they like that particular one. Using a shot glass size for the sampling wont hurt their bottom line one bit. Better customer service I'd say, but that's just me.

Bodybuilding.com sells a 2 lb multi-pack. It's only a bit more expensive than a single 2 lbs bucket.

TracerFX 06-14-2009 02:09 AM

The multi-pack is a pretty good idea, didn't occur to me lol

I dont really like ordering from US sites coz of duties/brokerage fees..

Do you have exp buying from them? If so, how much does those fees come out to for a 2 lbs or 5 lbs?

Damn, I checked their website and tried ordering a 5lbs + 19.99 for cad post shipping (their cheapest one), it totaled USD $63 (CAD $70 ish), that hasn't even included any potential taxes, duties, and 2.5% ish fees from credit card conversion charges..

It was 73 bucks from svncanada's website (with shipping and taxes). Could prolly get between 60-70 ish locally.

SkinnyPupp 06-14-2009 07:07 AM

I buy from them every single month. But I ship to Hong Kong, not Canada. Shipping is expensive as hell, but the stuff would easily cost 5X the price if I bought it here (if not more, and I mean that literally)

The best idea is to order when you have a bunch of shit to buy. I always buy a couple tubs of protein, along with my regular supplements.

I don't know what you mean by paying duties.. you don't pay duties on stuff like this.

It just tastes so artificial. When I had my 5lbs of Strawberry, I just chugged it down as fast as I could so I wouldn't have to taste it.

If Vanilla Chai is as good as many people say, I might just stick with it, lol.

yeah, there is not duty on stuff like this
if you buy from bb and live in Canada they just ship it usps. THERE ARE NO DUTY'S
skinnypupp, thats fucked up how the prices of supps are 5x in hk

SkinnyPupp 06-14-2009 07:02 PM

Why do you think you see so many Hongers buy thousands of bottles of vitamins at Costco and health stores? I used to work at a nutrition store, and hongers were my favourite customers (except that they were so cheap, and always tried to bargain)

TracerFX 06-16-2009 12:50 AM

I'll check em out, thanks!

Amazon.com has the 10lbs Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey for $65 with the Subscribe & Save discount

http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrit...3916640&sr=8-2

Amazon.com doesn't ship supplements to Canada so you're going to have to have it shipped to Blaine or Point Roberts and pick it up from there.

I think since whey is a consumable that there is no duties and no GST

XxFcukxX 06-24-2009 07:49 PM
