Nice. We have the chance to take NW title tomorrow based on # wins. Hope they don't shit the bed.

No. We can tie them in points but the Flames will have one game in hand so they'll still keep the NW title.

Or was that a totally different player?

^That's him indeed. That's all he can do though lol... if it was all moves then he'd be an all star hall of famer

hotjoint 01-07-2010 08:12 AM

A good question now is, do you guys think the Sedins can get any better? Pretty amazing how they are able to improve year after year. I can't believe they been in the league for over 9 years too.

Greenstoner 01-07-2010 10:03 AM

I always wondering where is Burr gonna go when Sedins are done ? He is grinder, but he isnt that big of monster when he's playing with other linemates

This is sort of a catch 22 kind of thing.

There really hasn't been a player that could think/work with the Sedins like Carter could and everyone that has been matched with Sedins has done well but not superb.

Burrows has done amazingly. It is like the is the third brother in the line and can think and know where the others are. Though he may not be great on other lines, he is definitely good.

So it is a weird thought. Amazing with Sedins where other "better" players have failed but not as superb as other players without them.

If the Canucks continue to make the playoffs over the next 2-3 years, they still need to prove that they can take their game to another level in the post-season. They did a decent job last year, but being point-per-game players isn't enough - they need to be able to make clutch plays, like scoring in a double-overtime or something to that effect (which they showed flashes of doing in 06/07 and in Game 6 against Chicago).

It's probably better that they're not getting the respect - it seems to suit their personalities just fine.

Tim Budong 01-07-2010 02:19 PM

The next few years will be where the sedins will peak. They are at their prime. Imagine what it would be like if Daniel wasnt hurt. Hank could easily blow past Joe Thornton.

as for burrows, hes the guy that is willing to bump n grind the corners, then go to the net and let the twins do their magic. Anson Carter did something similar where he could park in front of the net and do something special. The thing is, The Sedins work their magic and it allows the D to pinch in to be very deadly. Something I find amazing is how in 9years, the opposition hasnt really been able to shut down the twins

Greenstoner 01-07-2010 02:25 PM

i love how they always do between the leg drop pass... i always laugh
i noticed Raymond starting to do that too ..hahaha

orange7 01-07-2010 05:13 PM
