ya.. today he played at 5.3mill, making those key saves. But over the regular season, there is no way he is worth 6+mill.

not really bashing.. In half the posts I talk about him. I always include something along the line of him being a great goaltender.

I'm just speaking me opinion. If you guys don't like it, I'm cool with it.

I just want to talk hockey in general in this forum and have non-violent talks/debates.

Each user is just controlling what they want to see, not what the camera is actually doing. It's a 360° camera so it's showing all angles, all the time.

shawn79 04-15-2010 10:14 PM

the regular season he was average a 6 million dollar goalie but he was worth 3mill after the gold medal win.

orange7 04-15-2010 10:16 PM

there was one thing that bothered me during the game. Why were the towels white???

I think blue would have been more suitable for the playoffs.

ya.. i know white is also one of their jersey colours.. Just that i think blue would have been more unique since so many other teams are using white towels.

Hondaracer 04-15-2010 10:16 PM

so Luongo isnt worth 5.5?

maybe we should pick up horcoff, he'll definately get us more wins than luongo for the same price..

dont even try to fucking debate his value at 5.5, there are litterally a handfull of players that get you that kind of value per win in the NHL, arguing that Luongo is worth less is simply retarded and makes you look like a moron.

Awsome fucking game tonight, so glad i went down and bought some craigslist tix, club section FTW as usual lol, missed having beers delivered to me

Fan at Caps game not pleased with the losing goal.

murd0c 04-15-2010 10:18 PM

just shut up about this BS how much he's worth. He made the save he had to today and we won and thats what we need. Hopefully that save will help him get more of that confidence he has needed and the win gives everyone much needed momentum to start the playoffs with.

good point.
As long as we won.

however, I wouldn't have brought this whole bs shit up if someone didn't ask where those ** h*t*rs were. I didn't want to be a bandwagoner who voices his opinion and then say something else when the end result is not in favour of him.

my point being, the idiot who wants to debate his worth after tonights game clearly does not realize how big a save such as the goal line one is for a team, let alone himself.

Greenstoner 04-15-2010 10:38 PM

Ehrhoff was average on the ice today, got me thinking if SJ curse is on him.. hahha

Tapioca 04-15-2010 10:39 PM

Aside from Sammy, Kesler and Demitra were more or less invisible. The least Demo could do is play like he cares so he'll get a contract from a team next season.

Wellwood, as usual, steps up his game when it counts. He really needs someone to finish his wonderful passes. He even took on Smyth in the corners and he came up with the puck.

the save again, look at handzus. hands in the air celebrating when he coulda so easily tapped it in. thank the hockey gods for that!

chouchou 04-15-2010 11:04 PM

^wow, didn't even notice that. he's going to get a mouthful from his coach and teammates for that when they lose this series.

HonestTea 04-15-2010 11:04 PM

^

nice catch!

Mitchell was there in spirit to help Luongo make that save.

Invisible would probably be a compliment to Demitra. I thought he was brutal in the defensive zone. He was either standing still or floating around the blue line. There was a 2 on 2 rush for the Kings and Demitra was behind the 2 Kings, he didn't even make an effort to try to poke the puck away or lift someones stick, just started gliding back when they entered into our zone :\

Post this again, so I can fail you again. That sucks that each post can only be failed once by the same user. This one deserves like 50 fails.

lol, well, it might not have mattered anyway, since his stick was tangled up with Bieksa and Luongo, he only had one hand on the stick anyway. I was more thinking it's lucky the puck didn't hit the toe of Handzus. It would have went back into the net.

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard... White towels for the Canucks will always stay
they will never go to blue... I know other teams use white towels but we have history on that so
if I were u STFU.... white towel yeah..

Tanner Glass was awesome. REALLY nice guy

orange7 04-16-2010 12:32 AM

^^

I knew white is the tradition colour.

Just was wondering why we couldn't do something unique for this opening game.

I was looking forward to see a sea of blue..

but w.e..

white is still good.

orange7 04-16-2010 12:37 AM

haha.. if you take a look again, johnson avoided looking at the green men

...

there needs to be more green men around the penalty box.. so the players can't avoid.
