This post gave me a sudden dose of nostalgia as for some reason, the Official Canuck Thread has became one of the staples of the RS Vancouver OT Thread for so long, so I looked into its history.

Started by SkinnyPupp in 05/06. Kind of intersting that the guy who started one of the strongest running RS tradition is one of the threads quietest followers.

2005/2006 - SkinnyPupp - 56 pages
2006/2007 - Hondaracer - 152 pages
2007/2008 - Hondaracer - 187 pages
2008/2009 - Soundy - 468 pages
2009/2010 - Murdoc - to be determined

Looks like the fanbase has steadily grown annually and we're looking to break our benchmark last year. I wonder who'll be the honourary thread starter next year. Why do I have the feeling Darthchilli will want the title.

if we ever win a stanley cup we should sticky the thread and bolded the title in the VOT forum.. hahah !!

I'll probably get shat on for this as there is already a Sports forum but maybe we should look into creating a Canucks or Hockey sub forum with Game Day threads, Around the league talk, etc. Good posts can get lost/overlooked quite easily in this fast moving thread.

We should dedicate a thread just for excitement input during game time.
When someone scores, there's like 10-15 posts of single word celebration posts. :lol

The Suggestions forum is for issues like improvements for the admin and mods to consider... but this is strictly a matter of getting us members to start migrating over to the Sports & Recreation forum.

If we do, we'll be like a CDC Forum Lite edition.

and if you noticed this year and last years threads we started exaclty one year apart. That was just a fluke on my behalf.

For those that were at the game. Did you see when they put the green guys on the jumbotron and the fans were going NUTS, then they did a cut screen to those blueguys copying the green guys and people started booing! LOL ...cut screen back to the green guys cheering,......back to the blue guys and more booing..that was hilarious!:haha::haha:

its actually pretty easy to get to where teh players park
just park with them, if ur a suite holder/attendee with pass or season ticket holder
then u park with them...
I think edler was driving X5...Tanner Glass drives the accords, then u got a buncha rangerovers and escalades, Lu drove his E63 last nite. and Sami has been loving his GTR wayyy too much since he got it

Ya not hard to see tha players after the game. They park where some season ticket holders park too. Security may ask you to leave when they do their patrol, but you may catch some players sometimes. My friends went on the cali roadtrip and got pictures with a bunch of the Canucks in LA.

Let's see if Patty Marleau shows up for tonights game.
