The PK still needs some serious work. Drew Doughty shouldn't be allowed to skate in from the blue line without getting stick checked... or cross-checked (in the face I might add like Dana Murzyn used to do.) Jack Johnson had a glorious opportunity in the 2nd, but he had almost too much time to think about it. The wonderkid finally made a mistake in the last minute and threw up the puck in the middle only to have Kes throw it back into the empty net. The last change should benefit Vancouver next game. The Sedins were able to score when Handzus, et al. weren't on the ice. The Sedins can dominate if given any bit of open ice as we saw last night. I know Wellwood made a horrible decision in Game 3 which led to the fourth goal, but he redeemed himself with that puck hogging in the last 2 minutes of the third. I am surprised that Demo came to life. Aside from the goal, he made a good play to keep the puck in during the second period which resulted in a quality scoring chance. Was it just a one-off, or has the fire been lit? |

You're an idiot. The psychological damage has already been done? Playoff hockey is unreal! You are only as good as your last game - this is so true. Watching the adjustments the Canucks and Kings were making period by period was fun to watch, like a damn chess match. On another note, Andrew Alberts got called for a penelty walking to LA's airport, he got called for boarding... |

Forgive my ignorance, where is Lukowich? Is there a reason we're not calling him up? |

here's to hoping alberts never plays another game in a canucks uniform. |

Mar. 12, 2010 - 9:11 a.m. ET Brad Lukowich had shoulder surgery after being waived and sent to the minors by the Vancouver Canucks and will be out for the season. Lukowich was a depth defenseman in the Canucks organization. He could have been recalled during the playoffs if Vancouver ran into any injury problems but that is a moot point now. Botchford is an idiot, but Brad Ziemer is reporting that Nycholat would be the next in line to replace Baumer. It's been a while since I've seen Nycholat play, but from what I remember, he has decent mobility. Baumer looked a little nervous last night, particularly in the corners, but he does have good hockey IQ and a lot of experience, albeit at the AHL level. Perhaps Nycholat can be this year's Brian Glynn (who replaced Murzyn after Round 1 in 1994.) If Nycholat goes down, well it'll be up to Evan Oberg. |
get Lee Sweatt!!! (d we signed yesterday) |
Oberg's only 165 lbs?? He's gonna get tossed around. |
