Unfortunately, I find that there's more stupid shit being posted than insightful stuff...

spoon.ek9 05-06-2010 08:50 AM

i find the stupid comments annoying too but the guys who constantly bitch about it are equally annoying. it's bound to happen, get used to it.

looking on the positive side:

at least we're not down 0-3 in the series
this is exactly where we were with LA after 3 games

411ken 05-06-2010 08:51 AM

^ That's true but what can you do right? it's a fucking forum for crying out loud.. you have the option to just ignore the idiotic comments rather than being worked up over it....

On a side note... when is Byfuglien's contract expiry? haha.. hate him or love him but this guy is good... quick for his size and gets the job done.

Yeah, no need to panic like most Canucks fans do. If you remember the last series, it was quite similar. We kind of sucked for 2 games after we won then got our shit together. 3-2 L, 5-3 L, then 3 wins.

Don't lose faith just yet!

hotjoint 05-06-2010 09:50 AM

we're only down 2 - 1 but I think we all agree that the canucks need to step it up. We're still very capable of winning if we come out flying and play 60 minute hockey. Fridays game is a must win!

No way! You are talking about a guy who got ~30 points in the regular season and did not get ANY points until yesterday. The Canucks just make him look good!

Like the other poster said, they make it easy to drive the net. Need to be physical and box these guys out.

Greenstoner 05-06-2010 10:06 AM

i predicted canucks in 6 like what i said about the Kings' series. Although I felt uneasy with Hawks having the lead on us : (

Hopefully they will correct some of their mistakes like how they corrected in the Kings' series in regards to the PK. Now the boys needed to work on their PP.

And i wouldnt be surprise that some players are playing thru injuries, they may having a hard time and they dont deserve to be shit on.

Winning the next 2 games are the key to success !!!!

DanHibiki 05-06-2010 10:18 AM

I had a bad feeling bout yesterday's game before it even started. Ever since blowing game 2 and letting the Hawks find their groove, it just didn't feel right to me anymore...:(

Sadly I even had a nightmare that we lost the series lol

I hope so too. I really didn't like the Canucks trying to answer by 'trying' to run Neimi like the Blackhawks are doing to Luongo. Atleast that was what I felt when Grabner was scratched. Going back to the first game the Canucks had speed and skill on all four lines and I think that would be the way to go and the key for the Canucks to win the series. If AV and the boys are able to execute all four lines then we would be pretty hard to defend against. Especially since Keith and Seabrook won't be on with any other players other than the Sedins.

Granted when I said not to hit Neimi, that doesn't mean that I don't support our boys when they defend our goalie. I don't think it purely rests on the shoulders of our boys to protect Luongo but rather some on the referees' shoulders. If any of the 'interferences' were called I would think the after the whistle bumping and other mishaps would be stopped.

my bad... I should rephrase. I meant to say he is good at what he does... get into players skin..can score here and there... big body.. speed... I did not mean that is he god like in terms of skills..

Now that he scored 3 times and broke out, i think we are in trouble.

Would I want him on our team? fuk ya... everytime we play the hawks, first name/topic to come out is Byfuglien...

bloodmack 05-06-2010 10:29 AM

Even if we make it past the hawks, San Jose are going to own it. They are owning the hell out of Detroit, weird thing is its been 4-3 every game, lol. And if we some how get to the finals, the pens or bruins are going to be one hella of a hard to beat team.

dude, you are way ahead of yourself and worry too much. But I am not gonna blame you because this year we do look like a team that will go far

Gumby 05-06-2010 10:33 AM

Nobody said winning the Stanley Cup would be an easy feat...

Hell no! I'll stop being a Canuck fan if we sign him, if that's what you're implying...

The only difference is the Blackhawks and Kings are two very different teams in strength (skill). Despite Canucks losing two games to the Kings, the Canucks dominated them 5 on 5, and pretty much in every other area. Only the PP was killing the Canucks. As soon as they solved that, it was over for the Kings.

This series is a whole other story...
Canucks better win next game...

To a degree... It then depends whether canucks can make them pay on the PP.
If they are giving great SH chances for the Blackhawks, why the hell would they care if they get penalties.

The Canucks are 9-9 in playoff series where they won the first game. ...Mikael Samuelsson's seven goals in the first round tied Pavel Bure's franchise record for goals in a series set in the 1995 Western Conference quarter-final against St. Louis. ...Michael Grabner, Tanner Glass, Darcy Hordichuk and Aaron Rome were among the Canuck scratches. ...Former Canuck Mattias Ohlund, now a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning, was in attendance.

keitaro 05-06-2010 12:11 PM

Nice to see Ohlund back in Vancouver trying to enjoy a game. He still has some love for the team. Too bad we didn't resign him last year :(

dim_sum 05-06-2010 01:27 PM

any word on willie? while listening to the team1040 yesterday, they said that he isn't even attending the games and is pretty much doing his own thing. He isn't even watching the games on tv apparently!

Irish_R6 05-06-2010 02:01 PM

Dustin Buttfuckin is a joke. He final goal was bs you can clearly see luongo get pushed into the net then the puck go through. How is it the refs can't see this?

His season and his time as a Canuck are almost certainly done. The team wouldn't want him around the room, injured guys bring down morale it's standard across sports when players aren't coming back anytime soon.

Harvey Specter 05-06-2010 02:35 PM

Yup, I think Willie is done as a Canuck as well. It must be super hard watching your team play and not been able to be around them for support.
