OHLUND IS IN TOWN?

Ohlund was a solid player 3-4 years ago, but he has slowed over the years and he was exposed big-time last year against Chicago. Gillis was smart not to re-sign him and though I like Mitchell, Gillis will do the wise thing and not re-sign him either. On the other hand, no one expected Bieksa to plateau, Schneider to whine during practice, Lukowich to get injured, etc.

We are feeling the loss of Luc Bourdon big time too. With a couple of seasons under his belt, he should have been as good as Edler.

Mattias Ohlund never relocated his family to Tampa.

He still has his house here and his children are still going to school in vancouver

I know this becuz him and salo live on the same block together in Vancouver. I did an upgrade for Ohlund 4yrs back and Salo the same right after

Play hockey in Tampa during the winter, come back to Vancouver during the summer. Talk about the prefect trade off (weather wise).

Bourdon would have been a great. We are all feeling that major loss on our blueline

After cooling off. I actually don't have any problems with the Byfuglien goal.

It was an ugly goal for sure. But that's what killed the Canucks last night; the garbage and ugly goals. We have a highly skilled team that can set up great plays, but we the Hawks are stronger at the follow up plays.

And in reverse, Luongo is right. We should be doing the same to their net as they do to ours. I myself wouldn't complain if the Canucks worked for their fair share of ugly goals.
