If they don't get this under control, you may never have to pay for a haircut again.

I have a Wahl 110v clipper I bought years ago for shaving my cat.

Well, the wife watched a YouTube vid this morning and then did the job. I can’t believe it turned out this well, honestly no different than paying for it. It’s gotta be because my last haircut was 3 weeks ago and we didn’t touch the top much. If I factor in gas $, if I can convince her to do this all the time I’ll save a grand a year.

Also cut my own hair. My dad cut my hair for me until i was 13 or 14... He taught me and i took over then. We have a Wahl/Mohawk clipper that’s older than me. My family hasn’t paid for a haircut my entire life haha (with some exception where we were travelling. The $7 haircut at Montreal Chinatown was definitely worth). I don’t trim often enough so i’m out of practise when dealing with the top. Buzzing the top and fading out is easy though.

Shaving the hairs on the back of neck.......... could never do it right.

Oh well, just let it grow out like Saru's neck tentacles.

I couldn't stand any longer and got a Phillips clipper (model 7000 or sth) from Costco with a whole bunch of attachments.

Worked really well following the simple how to cut your own hair tutorial on Youtube.

Also cut my kids hair. So I already made back the investment on the clipper, which was 49.99+tax, same amount what it cost to cut mine and kids hair during a trip to the hair salon.

Only drawback is that we all have the same hairstyle.

You must always have the freshest fade - I go to a barbershop monthly and I spend half of that lol

Waving the white flag as well. Clippers are sold out everywhere but I found one online at Costco.

gf/wife has to be seen with you day in day out. I doubt they would screw it up. All women want their other half looking good, yes?

Been cutting my hair for 3 years. Shaved #4 sides and back (nothing fancy). Top trimmed off a little. I saved $40-50 a month.
Friends laughed at because they said it's better to goto a shop. Its "only" $20‐$30 bucks. Now they the ones who asking for hair cuts from me. Muahha

do you guys cut outdoors, or in front of the sink? It's a mess cleaning up all the hair, just looking for an easier way.

I cut mine in the bathroom sink. I cover the area with layers of newspapers. When your finished. Wrap up the newspapers extremely slowly. Otherwise all that hair gonna fly everywhere! If done right. Should be no mess.

I hate hair clippings and no matter how hard I try, some of it gets on my skin. Then, I itch like a mofo.

I started cutting my hair in the bath tub - birthday suit. After I finish, I gather up the majority of loose hairs by hand and place it in a bag, tie it up, and toss it. I have this wAnderful drain thingy that keeps hairs from going down the drain. I take a long shower. Making sure all loose hairs are washed off of me and directed toward the drain. I leave the trapped hairs in and about the drain thing to dry. So easy to clean up afterwards. I used to use my Dyson, but a wet paper towel works just as well.

The drain thing is something I picked up at the dollar store. It is designed to keep hairs from going down the drain. It really works. As long as you pick up the majority of hairs before taking the shower. Wet hairs are impossible to pick up or vacuum. Dry, not so much.

I used a stool in the bathtub when I cut the hair. Just had to grab 2 mirrors when I did on mine. Easy to clean surface with a lil brush and any tiny pieces of hair can be flushed down if needed at the end.

I do it in the washroom and then jump into the shower after. Then I just vacuum the hair on the ground after.
