I'm sure if you asked a cop, he'd tell you to call 911 but deep down inside he'd be glad you did something he couldn't.

The funny thing you didn't realize is most of them are talking smack, they'd never actually do it.

The crackhead even explained he thought he could take them, which is reasonable, I leave bottles out for them to take too rather than spend my time to get back $20 worth of empties. To which you grabbed him and beat him up.

I wouldn't get charged for beating down a crack head cause the police don't care. There tired of them because there is nothing they can do about them. They keep on stealing and breaking into places and with the wonderful system we have we can't keep them locked up.

You have to scare them away or make it not worth there while to come to your place. If you let them take shit they will come back and take more. What I will come back and the BBQ in my back yard will be gone next. I take it you have never delt or had run in's with them before.

I was basically given the wink wink, nudge nudge when the police came after the 3253528th time my car had been broken into by a crackhead.

In a city where the police lack the rights to protect the homeless from themselves (remember that woman who lit herself on fire over the winter because she was too cold? well the police weren't permitted to physically take her to a shelter despite it being -15 out there) I can imagine that they get tired of seeing the homeless/crackhead element get away with more than us real citizens do.

(And by get away I cite a simple example of being issued a jaywalking ticket if you're a regular person but the police not bothering wasting paper if a junkie does it, etc etc etc)

Vancouverites do it to themselves. Vote in a truly conservative city council and fix the problem. Ottawa has an ultra-conservative mayor right now, he built a fence around the homeless shelters to keep the drug dealers out and the homeless in.

Police might turn a blind eye, yet if a person presses charges you're done. Welcome to the legal system, tard. There's enough lefty liberal hippies (and don't include me with them) that if they saw you would call and have charges pressed. Why risk it over a few bottles... especially when he offered to give them back

thanks for the laugh, I understand now your from Ont your have the whole "centre of the world" complex to you. So question since you are so VERY against how you should deal with them. Have you had any run in's with them before?

Stealing is wrong im glad u fucked him up! Better way of dealing with him than calling the police, all they would have done is told him to move along. If more people beat on crack heads there would be less crime im sure of it.

I'm from Ottawa, not Toronto, please don't mistake that since the rest of Ontario hates "centre of the world" Toronto just as much.

You seem to think cause someone is a poor addict you have the right to beat them? I do NOT (let me emphasize that, since you need it beaten into you) agree with throwing money at addicts and letting them live on the street with the drug dealers. Yet I do not condone beating them either.

there's a difference between a crack head and a homeless person. I feel sorry for homeless people a lot of them are on the streets because of mental issues or the rough child hood they grew up.

Crack heads are druggies straight up they will do anything for there next fix, from steal bottles to rob banks I have no respect for them at all. People put crack heads and homeless in the same category when there completly different.

I've had my car windows smashed before, and property stolen from my backyard. I'll repeat, since it needs to be beaten into you, if I caught those that did it, I'd beat them up too.

Yet you beat up someone who took bottles, bottles that people routinely leave out for the homeless, and you beat up a man who admitted his mistake and tried to get away from you cause he knew you were going to beat him.
