i went to the game, scored some killer club seats for $30 a pop off a guy whos friends didnt show

the lions are a joke and the "seat service" is a bigger joke in the club section, we tipped $7 on 4 drinks and it took them 28 minutes to get them to us and 3 complaints from the hippy who was with the guy who sold us the tix to get them

Eff-1 08-21-2009 11:45 PM

it's true. the lions club seat section feels like a joke. you're better off sitting in the stands down below.

Hondaracer 08-22-2009 09:34 AM

i didnt even realize there was a club section till last night, is GM place's club service is a 10, BC place is a -1

it was pathetic because the 2 servers who were older guys who looked like they were lovers were just sitting watching the game and they knew we didnt have our drinks, our hippy friend there got up and actually walked up to where they were sitting and ripped into em because they were sitting there with shit eating grins rather then getting us our drinks

i dunno, ive been to 3 lions games in the past 2 years and i dont see myself going again in the future, bad experiances every time

Soundy 08-22-2009 09:43 AM

The club seats are new this season, so I expect it might take a little bit to iron out the wrinkles.

My experience in the past, and that of a lot of people I know, is that the club has been really good about responding to complaints and addressing issues... I'd suggest emailing them and letting them know.

Anyone at the game hear some guy blowing a horn for the whole second quarter?

i didnt notice it but a friend of mine watching on TV text me saying it sounds gross on tv lol

Well, at least we aren't losing yet. 0 - 0 after the first quarter. Here's another number for a chance to win a million bucks. This is a kick to win contest, so if you can't kick a football, don't bother. LOL.

Great game great win!

MG1 09-04-2009 09:45 PM

Nail biter. Sort of. Crazy finish with the weird calls. The fans made a difference in this one, that's for sure. Montreal hasn't won here in 9 years.......

Gumby 09-04-2009 10:20 PM

Wow, we won? Such a low scoring game!

carisear 09-04-2009 10:30 PM

i did not think that we would win this game! i totally missed it too =(

i'll be watching the rematch next week though for sure -- montreal is going to come out pissed

MG1 09-05-2009 12:39 AM

Mallett ran for over 200 yards. Gladiator of the game went to Angus Reid.

Coach Buono ties the league record for coach with the all time most wins. Don Mathews has the record. Barring sudden death of Buono, he should break the record sometime this season. Go Lions!

Meowjin 09-05-2009 02:46 AM

my friend plays for montreal. He came down to my bar, wasn't happy lol.

Went down to the game. Pretty frustrating watching the Lions miss on so many opportunites to score but I guess that's what's been happening all season. Gave up so many big plays leaving recievers wide open; frustrating as shit. And never got to saw any of that really explosive offence that one would expect from Montreal.

WakeMeUp 09-05-2009 04:45 AM

I got some good seats this time around and it was worth it... Great game i thought. Yes, it was low scoring but Mallet was running like crazy as noted above and the defense was incredible. They only allowed a field goal against the #1 offense i believe in the league! Yeah it was a good game..

BTW, do you mind telling us who your friend is, MajinHurricane?

Paris Jackson was dropping some catchable balls in the 1st half but was good in the second half. The BC defense was great, and AC didn't tear them up.

taylor192 09-05-2009 07:51 AM

I was at the game and if I were Montreal I'd be yelling at the league. Calling back a play cause the clock needed to be reset, lame.

Soundy 09-05-2009 09:01 AM

Defense has definitely been our strong point this season... offense has been the flaky part, especially the O-line - can only blame the QBs so far if the line in front of them is made of Swiss cheese.

sweet, angus reid was the guest host on team1040 last week friday. guess he figured he was famous now and had to have a big game :P

i saw the highlights with mallett -- good on him. he hasn't had much chance to run the ball in the past few weeks. i'm glad he had that monster game.

MG1 09-13-2009 09:13 AM

Game's on right now. Didn't look good for BC, but we just intercepted a pass. Go, Lions, GO!!!!!!!

03aspec 09-13-2009 09:19 AM

Whatever.........

winson604 09-13-2009 11:50 AM

Daaaamn so close but oh wells can't win them all. Overall a very good effort back to back weeks against the best team in the league. Defense was amazing for the most part especially on 2nd downs. Coming out with a split and played well in the loss in Montreal is a good sign. Looks like the boys have some confidence back and more goof things to come. Go Lions!

sonick 09-17-2009 02:43 PM

Shit. Jarious Jackson out 4-6 weeks minimum with torn rotator cuff.

carisear 09-17-2009 02:59 PM

bring back casey!!! :)
