^^ i don't have HD |
lol what an absolute joke of a league the CFL is, i love how they try to potray themselves as an alternative to the NFL, and people like Dave Pratt always say that the CFL is better than the NFL yet..games are Blacked out on TV?... i guarantee you 80% of NFL fans dont even know what the term blacked out means.. I could be watching on TSNHD but i'm playing Torchlight so i'm watching the wings/flames game, but if BC was on i'd obviously be watching them, but really this just perpetuates the stereotype of a joke of a league, i have nothing against the lions at all, and i've posted my reactions to previous games here, but blackouts really are just pathetic. |
^^ to be fair some NFL teams have blackouts too, but once again, that's all about owners with dinosaur way of thinking. i'm streaming the cfl game right now, and there are 1000 people watching it. imagine how many more people would watch it if it was on tv?? |
^Bingo. Canucks used to have blackouts too, back in the day. Most teams in most leagues will lift a blackout if a game is within a certain range of a sellout. It's not unique to the CFL by any means. |

The reason NFL fans don't see blackouts is because most games are sold out all the time. NFL blackout policy In the NFL, any broadcaster that has a signal that hits any area within a 75-mile (120 km) radius of an NFL stadium may only broadcast a game if that game is a road game, or if the game sells out 72 hours or more before the start time for the game.[5] If sold out in less than 72 hours, or is close to being sold out by the deadline, the team can sometimes request a time extension. Furthermore, broadcasters with NFL contracts are required to show their markets' road games. Sometimes if a game is very close to selling out, but not quite there, a broadcaster with rights to show the nearly sold out game will buy the remaining tickets (and give them to local charities) so it can broadcast the game (usually, this would involve no more than a few hundred tickets because of cost). On a sidenote I'd like to thank the Calgary Stampeders for beating the Lions and giving the Riders a home playoff game. Come next week just laydown and give us the WCF at home. |
even though it's 2 straight losses, Casey Printers >> * other BC QB's. I fall asleep watching buck and JJ play. Lulay had some excitement, so i won't knock him. He's still young and still has time to prove himself. I say we start the campaign for 2010 starter right now! casey! casey! |
i think they would be crazy to look anywhere but Casey, why go back to these super fragile quarter backs when you have Casey who has more upsides then everyone we have as of now |
I love how Printers started on that guy........ "You didn't hurt me, it didn't hurt. Bring it on!" |
|
TSNHD FTW - no blackouts here! |
must be nice. lol. |

what's with the Lions' defense today? Edmonton is having a field day out there. |
swiss cheese right now. they better stop the run soon. |
Fak, we were ALL D at the start of the season and couldn't generate any offense... now we've got some scoring and where has the D gone?? |
Hope Printers can get his thumb fixed. I have little confidence in Bucko. |
