Please no GTR ecu bullshit that takes off the limiter when you're on the track.

I was born a HUMAN. I was raised to test my limits, and break them. I refuse to conform to the general consensus because I'm a MAN. I am a Man with common sense. I believe in Darwinism and whatever the fuck those Church people believe in.

Tkaing my factory speed limiter is taking away my pride, soul, and dignity. I refuse to be sheltered, and I expect the same respect that everyone else in Europe gets. No drinking limits, and no speed limits on certain highways. I believe in paying the cop to get away from a ticket. I have a 4 Liter V8 that was designed in the late 80's and was electronically limited to 260 (before I took it off). I expect my future cars to do more and better than that speed.

Because I am a Man. And I need the feeling of almost killing myself.
Otherwise, I would drive a Corolla.
woww dude

but this isn't gunna happen, the average speed on the highway anyways is like 150/160... well atleast for me.

Stupid. What about times when you have to go faster to get out of the way of something? Like while merging or changing lanes. Granted it may have been a mistake that got you there in the first place, you should be able to get out of it.

What about passing? You go in the other lane and you can't go faster than a certain speed. Stupid...

German cars are limited to 155km/hr, and many modern cars already have similar limits. It's not like this is anything new...

Wait, what? So cars IN Germany? Or German cars here?...

Edit: No, you're wrong....It's 155 MILES per hour....equivalent to 249km/h......

Er, yeah.... mph, is what I meant. Either way, my point was that cars already are limited to certain speeds.

Yeah, but I hardly ever hit 249 km/h...besides if they lower it to 150 right now, would you really be surprised if they start lowering it more and more as time goes on....

Canada is a tiny automobile market. It's doubtful that the auto manufactures would allow this to happen without some resistance. Basically this would only happen if/when it happened in the US.

Not really. We require DRL's by law, and until recently we had different bumper regulations that auto makers had to abide by.

110kph? I do road trips every few months to Vegas and there are stretches that with 80-90mph speed limits.

What's really needed is freakin radar in all cars that prevent people from tailgating...

Most performance-variants of cars delete those speed limits, as well.

Yes, but then again certain cars were not sold in Canada due to the same bumper laws. ie MRS.

Too bad it was the best cars not allowed!!

Why didn't we get the evo when the US did?

and not for the bumper.... but cool cats will agree.... B13 SE-R. poor canada. not allowed the 510 of the 90s due to a seatbelt issue. luckily 3 or 4 of us RS members got to have fun in that ONE B13 SE-R in BC.

lowering the national speed limit to an all time 10 km/hr will not decrease accident rates

increasing the skill and awareness of drivers, on the other hand, will

there are in fact people who cant even negotiate a left hand turn from a standstill smoothly - have you ever seen ppl hop curbs? AND end up nearly on the other lane, doing 8km throughout the whole turn? (usually this is when shit happens, as they cant even see the other car turning right at the same time, thus resulting in the 2 parties getting shafted by ic fucking bc the next day)

in fact, take a stroll down any parking lot, and observe how many wheels are curbed, how many cars are dinged from low speed impacts. for every 1, slit your wrist with a razor. by the time you are done 1 parking lot, you have probably killed yourself enough times to cover 50% of bc's population

what Chopstick is trying to say here, is that speed is less an issue than, say proper awareness (how fast to go in a ford astro van on a rainy day with 3 shitty bald tires, 2 underinflated, 1 over inflated, on a twisty highway road, wearing no seatbelts, thinking he can stop in time if the car he's drafting decides to slam on the brakes)

just googie top gear finland, and you'll see the light

so instead of teaching retarded monkeys not to cross the yellow line

give them a book and a bannana. the retarded monkey now becomes a smart banana
