i can see this thread is heading down the shitter |
this game looks intense. |
the guy playing with 6 screens... isn't that a bit too much? |
Played the demo last night. Man it runs smooth like butter, and the physics are way better and more realistic than FM2. The graphics and detail are pretty awesome too; in the replay you can actually see the holes of the Audi R8's cross-drilled rotors. |

whats the big difference between gt and forza? i never played forza can you tune the cars and mod it? |

GT has more cars (in GT2, GT4, and hopefully GT5) They're both very good games, though I personally have preferred GT historically. The damage engine was a nice touch to the Forza series that has been missing from GT (but will be in GT5) ... If Forza 3 were coming out for PS3 or PC, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, even w/ GT5 on the horizon. |

I even have some of the AJ-R S2k and J's Racing Civic in Forza 2 |
forza is now free for all to DL sweet! |
You guys can run hot laps as well, where you're just on the track and not the other cars. There's a time leaderboard and a drift leaderboard. To see your drift score while playing, i think you hit the left on the dpad To access the free run style Hotlap mode where you can race an unlimited number of laps without opponents, access the in-game Leaderboard by hitting “Y” at the track select screen. From here you can hit “A” at the top of the screen to begin a free run with the selected car! |
^ awesome I was drifting the GT3 hahaha awesome! |
Damn can't wait for this to come out, but I don't have XBOX LIVE  fucken xbox, why can't it be more like my PS3 lol |
get XBOX live........ its the dopest thing ever created! |
Shitbox Live Silver is free, IIRC ... Gold costs money and gets you some extras like the ability to download demos sooner ... |

(this is from Forza 3, made completely with shapes there is no image import tool) http://scrawlfx.com/wp-content/uploa...mw-forza-3.jpg -forza less cars -forza has a mix of fantasy and real tracks (lemans, nurb, sebring, silverstone, mugello ect..) -forza was the first series with the driving line -so far better online integration including leaderboards/ratings and shops for tuners, livery editors -so far better damage models -generally considered better physics model (fm3 has tire deformation physics now) - and the fact that all 3 forza games have come out since the release of gt4  |
^ Actually Ferrari F355 Challenge back in the dreamcast days had a racing line too... but you said "series" so you are somewhat still correct. How I miss the dreamcast... That game was awesome. |
I also like the photo competitions that are held on the Forza forums. People run competitions for lots of in game credits. Your given a week to submit pictures, then the forum members vote on it. Specific competitions such as "Best Drifting Tandem" "BMW Photoshoot", "Muscle", "Tuner", Specific Track photoshoots, Best wheel photo", etc etc I won third place on a Silverstone Comp, basically take any picture of any car on that track. This one got me 3rd and quite a bit of in game credits http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3447/...6f1f11056f.jpg Some other random shots I took in Forza 2: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3558/...becc23f204.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2472/...7e40f5d83f.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3538/...4faace2624.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3509/...783ddb900e.jpg Here's a link to the photography forum: http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/fo...ShowForum.aspx With Forza 3 coming out, just the photo comps will be awesome to do as the in game photography will look even better. Pretty much all the screenshots you see have been taken by it. |
omg that E30 M3 is HOT |
It was for a BMW Comp i entered: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2639/...dbc2d877bc.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2618/...51ae5f5a68.jpg |
The airfield track sounds awesome, similar to the one in the Ken Block wrx videos where he's drifting through the warehouses. Pasted from another site: The Motorsports Legends Car Pack gives players another great reason to be excited about picking up “Forza Motorsport 3” on launch day, delivering 10 classic race cars and roadsters, on top of two extra tracks: the brand new Benchmark High Speed Ring and the returning circuit Sidewinder Proving Grounds. On Oct. 27, this pack will be exclusively available via a one-time-use token card included in every new copy of “Forza Motorsport 3.” The Benchmark High Speed Ring is best described as an old airfield and hangar converted into a race track and automotive playground, perfect for all manner of creative “Forza Motorsport” hoonage and multiplayer mayhem. The track is characterized by 3.96 miles of rough surfaces and huge open areas, featuring a massive oval, an 8-lane drag strip, and an airplane hangar that players can drive (or drift) through. The free Motorsports Legends Car Pack includes these 10 cars hand picked by Turn 10: 1. ’65 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 2. ’64 Aston Martin DB5 Vantage 3. ’81 BMW M1 4. ’60 Chevrolet Corvette 5. ’69 Dodge Charger 6. ’57 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa 7. ’80 Fiat 131 Abarth 8. ’67 Lamborghini Miura P400 9. ’71 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R |
