ABS could shave at least a second or 2 off lap times

Franjo 11-03-2009 09:51 AM

I run all assists off, manual transmission but with no clutch.

Good live session last night guys, the suv's on Kaido was quite funny.

no, ABS only prevents the tires from locking it doesn't provide extra stopping power, a well controlled trigger finger can be better than a car with ABS

also, i'm up for an rs meet online

I think 8 of us doing a drift comp on Kaido is in order. The full 10 mile course. I'll add you tonight vex.

EX-R 11-03-2009 04:57 PM

cars with no ABS doesnt mean it have extra stopping power. using ABS will allow you to brake later and harder without being worried about locking up
you actually have to use less brake pressure each time to prevent the brakes from locking up

vexor 11-03-2009 09:00 PM

sigh, ABS was not designed to shorten ur stopping distances (yes in rain but there is no rain in forza) it was designed to keep you in control of the vehicle during hard braking, it can sometimes increase the the braking distance because it releases pressure from the disc to prevent the wheels from locking. And yes i know what i'm talking about I went to BCIT in the Auto Service Tech program

very tempted to get live again >.<
