paypal is fuked. sometimes it wont let me use my credit card at all. I call in and the agent just says it should work but just doesnt. They cant figure it out and later tells me to just use my bank account which gets ass raped on exchange. such bs.

MG1 03-03-2011 11:25 AM

Exchanged $5000 today and the exchange rate was like $98 CAD for every $100 USD.

Been a while since last report, but it's 1.04 now........

Tegra_Devil 04-07-2011 09:25 AM

now..............1.04230

With the possibility of rate increases on the horizon (possibly in June) and rising oil prices, our dollar could go up even more in the summer.

Perhaps approach the $1.10 mark again? Only time will tell.

Tegra_Devil 04-07-2011 11:08 PM

1.05

usd will not go back up again any time. specially as its being dumped by china and rest of the world as reserve currency. if you follow the trend they (many big economies) are already dumping currency to buy other assets.

RevRav 04-08-2011 10:50 AM

A mod should change the title of this thread...

TouringTeg 04-08-2011 10:53 AM

Wow there is serious movement selling the US for Euro today.

Japan will be selling their USD holdings soon to free up money for rebuilding after the quakes.

just incase anyone has been sleeping... exchange rate is better than ever if you are exchanging from CAD to USD. It was around 6 cents stronger this morning.. crazy.

Culverin 07-22-2011 03:12 AM

Hypothetically speaking... Let's say the US ecomomy goes into the crapper even further. The exchange rate goes up to $1.50.

What's your game plan then?

If the exchange rate reaches $1.50 our economy will be in very serious trouble, I don't even want to imagine the potential consequences.
