Some place in Metropolis was clearing out 2010 Olympic stuff. It was some linen place. Can't remember the name. It was on the upper floor near the food court. They had tonnes of the shit. Stuffies, key chains, and cute slippers. Boxes and boxes of the shit at 40% off.

LoL... I'm amazed at how much excitement there was in the announcer's voices for countries that aren't very involved in hockey... like France, Spain (GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL!), South Korea, etc...

Was down on Granville tonight after the Pacquiao fight and man was it empty
Same. I left the hockey game a bit early to catch the end of the fight at Edgewater and walked back to my car, through BC Place and along Cambie. It was totally dead....eeeerily dead, matter of fact. I was disappoint.

Remember him? He qualified to compete in the 50K event in the Olympics, but none of the other Canadians wanted to give up their spot for him, which is understandable. I'm glad he's gotten his gold.
And Canada really took it to the Swedes in yesterday's Sledge Hockey game.
Did they say what his time was? Cause they were projecting that his time wasn't going to be as good as the other 4 athletes, so thats why they gave the spots to them. Woulda been nice to see how he posted, if he did better than them .

If he were to compete in the 50km with the time he posted ( If he maintained his speed/time) he would of been in the 2h 10min range, which would of put him in the middle of the pack of the 55 who competed in the 50k. I was also kinda disappointed that he wasn't able to compete, but he won gold so I guess any of us can't complain.
