This car sounds so good and is sexy as hell. One more to my dream car list.

CanadaGoose 10-20-2009 11:21 PM

Phaeton was balling

Anyways, I thought this was supposed to compete with the GTR...I just noticed the MSRP...ooooh what a buzzkill lol

skyxx 10-20-2009 11:26 PM

Officially confirmed/unvield MSRP is "$375,000". Lexus will apparently take a lose on each LF-A sold.

horsepower seems right

but wtf is this

V10 and only 350 pounds of torque

shouldnt it have 550 pounds of torque?

350 lb-ft of Torque seems alright.

I usually convert ENGINE torque output figures from lb-ft into kgm.

In my opionion for N/A engines only, a 1.8L should produce around 18kgm (~130lb-ft). A 5.0L should have 50kgm (~362lb-ft)

This is a N/A 4.8L, so it should have 48kgm, but it has 48.4kgm.

Just my opionion.

red_2 10-21-2009 01:39 AM

sexyyyy ass

ctsport 10-21-2009 01:42 AM

Looks generic to me lol. I prefer the look of the GTR and I am not even a fan of the GTR :p

TRDood 10-21-2009 11:52 AM

after staring at it for a long time, the front reminds me of a sting ray

Yeah, can't wait for a Top Gear review!

donot521 10-21-2009 01:24 PM

After watching the clip, I've come to a conclusion that the LF-A resembles the Ferrari Testarossa.

how?

Testarossa: Mid engine, Flat-12
LF-A: Front engine, V-10

and the overall shape is quite different

You get a glimpse of it at 0:14 in the video posted above.

Adrenaline Rush 10-21-2009 07:05 PM

Ouch...375k! That's getting into some really rare territory for cars - essentially Mucielago, McLaren SLR, Carrera GT costs.

I know it's going to be an awesome car but to put that in perspective, that's a price of a new Ferrari F458 with 570 hp plus a new Porsche GT3 RS...

Jackygor 10-21-2009 07:20 PM

what car is it supposed to be competitive with in that price range?

skyxx 10-21-2009 07:21 PM

Most likely Ferrari 430s etc etc.
