it sounds just like their f1 car.

twitchyzero 10-25-2009 03:26 PM

looks great, sounds great and im sure the engineering behind it is amazing too

however i feel like the exterior seems a bit dated (feels more early 2000ish than 2010). The concept looked way nicer

here's the video that has the intro from 2009 tokyo auto show

^ Actually NSX was a supercar back in the days, same with the supras. etc etc They were considered "Supercars"

I think the Japanese had supercars in the NSX and Skyline but this would be the first Exotic from Japan.

IMO the Supra is was never a supercar, just a wannabe, ala the Corvette.

And how was the Skyline a supercar?

It was a grocery getter Coupe chassis that had a widebody, different suspension, and a bigger motor with 2 turbos + Atessa training wheels just in case.

Super Cars are purpose built as flagship sports cars.

Viper, Corvette, FD RX-7's, MK4 Supra, 300zx, NSX. The JDM "Supercars" never really stood out as "supercars". They're fast, but by no means a "super car"

GT-R's are classed like the EVO/STi. An otherwise grocery getter Chassis with a bigger motor with turbo(s), different suspension, and a widebody.

This is why the Z is, has, and always will be the Nissan Flagship car. GT-R fanboiz can hate, but it's the truth.

JDM land had thier Flagship sports cars, but This is by true definition, a Super Car.

I think the NSX is considered a Supercar back in its time. The Skyline and Supra are not really a supercar, but its pretty high up there. EVO/STI are just rally inspired family Sedans. The Z has always been, and always will be, the Nissan sport coupe for the every man, I wont call it the flagship car. The GTR would be the flagship sport coupe, now.

I understand your viewpoint because JDM-land never really made many things to rival the big V8 powered Europeans and Americans. Only recently did Lexus tried with the IS-F, now with this LF-A. Which still strikes me as out of the norm for Lexus, their V8s were usually smooth as butter and tuned for comfort.
