Nlkko 10-14-2016 01:03 PM

Love the new BCHydro outage page though. Tell you exactly when it was out, area that was affected, and if a crew is assigned or already on-site. Not sure if this is new but new to me.

Jmac 10-14-2016 01:17 PM

We had a huge thunderstorm this morning in Duncan at about 5 AM. Nasty drive into work this morning, too. My windshield wipers could barely keep up and I had to use my fog lights just to see the lines.

wingies 10-14-2016 01:19 PM

Well, just going to stay home and watch the Bue Jays game and the BC Lions. Love this time of year. Too bad no hockey tonight.

Then it'll all be a no go when the power goes out.

My neighbour has a huge ass tree on the other side of his property. His house will be destroyed if it goes. Good thing it's nowhere near my place. Burnaby lots, ftmfw! In Vancouver east side, three houses would be affected. Okay, I exaggerate, hee hee...............

Gh0stRider 10-14-2016 02:47 PM

According to the outage site, im really close to losing power. I literally on the other side of the red circle lol

Lomac 10-14-2016 03:35 PM

Been debating all day while at work whether it's worth coming down to the coast this weekend or not. We're not going to be hit too badly by any of the cells here in Kamloops, but the Coquihalla will likely be slammed by snow tonight.

I'm in kits too and I've had it all afternoon! Better not go out, I'm doing some serious wiring.

JSALES 10-14-2016 03:59 PM

I just hope a tree doesn't fall on my car parked outside

Outside my place..not sure if the cars were a write off ... Is tree falling covered by icbc?

godwin 10-15-2016 04:22 AM

It is a comprehensive claim. ICBC will go after the CoV eventually.

Richmond Costco checking in. Power yesterday was out from 1:30pm to 9:30pm. What a crazy day. Thankfully we have an exceptional response time (due to hydro constantly cutting our power with the new apartment construction nearby). We had a tonne of reefer trucks and emptied the whole store of cold items. Dat overtime + loss of sales = unhappy regional lol.

Also driving around to put my winter tires on. Soooo Many lights out in Richmond. Made it without getting t-boned (today was a good day)

Armind 10-15-2016 07:31 AM

So the storm's over? Or is the 3rd one hitting us today?
