The 3rd and worst storm is expected to hit this afternoon. |
Lol worst is open to interpretation The first one wasn't even a storm |
Pls stay safe, RS. |
Stay at home weekend for me. Car mods in garage, watch movies and do some work. |
Netflix and pizza weather |
going out for inner tonight let's hope everything ok. |
still waiting... |
3rd storm supposed to hit today. TBH, these storms were overhyped. At least in my area, it was windy and lots of rain, but nothing that drastic. But then again, you see pictures like this. So wtf? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psch0suifa.jpg Looks like the "storm" is being very selective. |
From Friday (Aldergrove): My enteranceway - Neighbour's tree on my landlord's boat and hood (no damage). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...spced8dhf.jpeg Across the street. Downed powerlines kept their handicapped son basically trapped in there - he was fine. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...szpx5jr6d.jpeg A |
Lots of wind in my neighbourhood... which means many hours of cleanup for me once it's done FeelsBadMan |
This feels like the regular fall season in Vancouver. I don't see or understand this greatest storm in 30 years business. Such a hype machine. |
^ just like every other news story |
Strong enough to knock out power on large scale, just like last year. I would say it's out of the ordinary. Up to 100km/h wind is nothing to sneeze at. Doesn't feel like much when you're in the vicinity of your home but it's leaving plenty of carnage out there. |
Drove my co-worker to the ferry, holy shit. Between westmount (I think) and the terminal the wind was pushing my car around like nothing. Driving back was worse than driving there. Think I'll stay inside and play video games for the rest of the night... |

Vancouverites are spoiled af |
Next time you guys drive on Prior Street between the Viaduct and where it turns into Venables (Strathcona Park), look up and you'll see this one branch from a large tree that spans the entire width of the road. It's a disaster waiting to happen. I'm not sure why the city hasn't done anything with it. |
1962 Typhoon Freeda. One huge ass storm that hit Vancouver. |
:troll: |
I'd rather be on alert and have nothing happen (or to that degree), than not be warned ahead of time. |
