anyone picking up the y2play pass from grouse ? thinking of picking one up

They upped the prices from last year on the pass. I won't be doing it this year. I'm just going to ride out the remainder of my Y2Play pass from last season.

Greenstoner 03-15-2010 08:51 AM

is it spring break for the students or is it over already ?

TOS'd 03-15-2010 10:35 AM

HS and Elementary school spring break is over now. But some private schools might still be off for 1 more week.

just curious as to how much it was last year?

picked up my Y2Play pass today and hit up grouse for the first time this year today. Conditions were good--was there from around 330pm - 630pm. Not much fresh powder left and the snow was a little wet and heavy, but still good nevertheless. Visibility was great...i hope they'll get another dump of snow soon, but somehow i doubt it. The Quicksilver terrain park was open today--i am not a park person, but just wanted to bring that up in case anyone's interested in the Quicksilver park.

Did anyone go to whistler during this weekend? Really curious about how busy the place is.

Thanks :)

^i know a couple friends went on saturday, they said it wasn't busy at all. conditions were decent, too.

today was pretty quiet

village was a ghost town

line ups maybe 10 minutes at the worst

peak = foggy at times, 6 inches of powder then pure ice underneath

mid mountain = awesome

lower mountain = all slush like a giant slurpee

I went up in my G35 with with all season tires. Made it up and down fine since it's not that cold and the roads aren't icy (assuming you're going there while it's open, somewhere between 10am to 7pm).

yea, check out cypress, alex. seymour is pretty icy and wasnt getting as much snow as cypress.

im also thinking of heading to whistler soon, atleast a few more times. it only takes like 1hr30min-1hr45mins to get there.

mmmk 03-24-2010 12:13 AM
