I was about to go up that day at 4 pm for night skiing. Checked the site at 2:30pm and it said it was raining so I called it off! But my friend checked at like 3 or 4 pm and apparently it was snowing at that time... regardless I didn't want to take the chance! How much of the mountain is open? |
Sunday was pretty decent. Snow conditions were hard packed but during the afternoon the sun came out for an hour or 2 just to warm the snow. One thing i didn't like was that knowing it was my first day up in a year, i had decided to tackle a black diamond run as part of my ritual warmup. damn hard snow got me falling off my skis :( |
Wait, you're a skier too?!?! YESSSS T________T You, me and Mananetwork stand as the mighty triumvirate against the hoardes of demon snowboarders. D: |
Anyone up at Cypress today? Says raining at base but snowing midmountain and up. Thinking of going at for night owl. |

please note the same day cypress was closed as well. Just be careful they will close early on you depending on the condition and the crowd. if i were you i will try to go there in the day time, simply the weather is not at the best right now. |

http://cypressmountain.com/alpine-parking-map Lot 3 is where you used to be able to park if you got there relatively early or when the first rush of people left. Highway lot is where you went if you got there late...now everyone is going to have to park there. One long ass walk http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&sourc...22724&t=h&z=16 |

Let's go skiing LOL Wait...how could you ski before you could walk? ARE YOU A MUTANT? D: (was it on Grouse or Cypress? :haha:) |

Just came back from Cypress, went for Night Owl. Weather was pretty good up there, slight fog going up. And even worse fog going down, huge line following someone going 20 km/h...... one lane downhill. |
Oh man, we should do an RS snow meet. I would even go to Cypress for such an event. |
make it in two weeks when my new (snowboard) boots come in |

Seems like its going to rain for the next while...and I was so wanting to go the next few days. =/ |
I dont go to whislter that often to notice but did they raise the price for lift ticket ??? |
Yes of course. ticket purchase at the window is $93 according to website. Might as well buy a edge card or buy the tickets at 7-11. |
just came back from cypress. wow, what a shitshow with all the olympic preps construction and lack of snow. almost all runs has bald spots except for the humpty dumpty. dont even waste your time. i wouldnt go back even if they only charged me $35 because of shitty conditions. Posted via RS Mobile |
cypress has been really disappointing this year. i bought the season pass and was super hyped for taking advantage of the pass this season...went a few times last month... now i am not even remotely tempted to go back there. agreed with the previous post. Don't waste your time/money going there..spend a little more and hit up Whistler instead. |
