BRB GOING TO GET MCRIB. YES I'M YELLING.

willystyle 11-06-2013 11:39 AM

Had one yesterday. It doesn't taste as good as I've remembered. Not sure if it's because the quality has gone down, or I have higher standards now?

westopher 11-06-2013 11:53 AM

I thought it was great, but was a little less saucy than I'd hoped.

mcd poutine is horrible, thats why they got rid of it. mcrib on the other hand.....:sweetjesus:

Groot 11-06-2013 04:31 PM

never tried the poutine.. curious to see what its like...:considered:

bcrdukes 11-06-2013 04:47 PM

It was awful so to say the least.

westopher 11-06-2013 05:02 PM

Failed you thinking you were speaking ill of the mcrib, replaced with thanks when realized it was about poutine.

bcrdukes 11-06-2013 05:08 PM

The McRib can NEVER be bad! As for the poutine, one of my brother's friends who was working gave us some and man, it was just...I don't even.

(I also dearly miss the REAL Big Xtra and the Arch Deluxe.) Good times working @ McDonalds in my youth. :okay:

fishCak3s 11-07-2013 09:52 AM

Big xtra:tears:

Not really racist! 11-07-2013 10:33 AM

The gravy for the poutine is trash according to my friends

It'll probably be expensive as hell too.. from what I'm told the box will be a little bigger than the filet boxes

Rather go Costco

I went to McDonalds as soon as I read this thread. I didn't want to eat McDonalds again because I already had it the day before but it was damn good and I don't feel bad about it at all.

bcrdukes 11-07-2013 01:13 PM

One should never feel bad for eating McDonalds (unless your doctor says not to lol)

Gh0stRider 11-07-2013 01:20 PM

mcrib..nomnomnom

m3thods 11-07-2013 01:40 PM

Definitely not as good as I remember, but still quite good. Last had it in Bellingham last summer. So good I had two.

bbcbrbe 11-08-2013 10:06 AM

got to mcd drive thru @ 10:50am craving mcrib......breakfast till 11 :(

mikemhg 11-08-2013 05:03 PM

I feel like the McRib is worse now than when we were kids due to the cheaper meat product that used in the food now.

It seems across the board with all of these fast food restaurants. I remember when I was younger a burger at McDonald's, or a Meatball Sub at Subway actually tasted like ground beef you buy in a store. Now all the ground beef used in these places is this pseudo fat/beef/filler stuff, and it all tastes the same, crap. Same story with the McRib, I'm not sure what kind of filler is being used now, and I can't quite pinpoint when things started tasting different, but I can say it's definitely within the last 10 years?

the McRib was decent, wouldn't get it again though.

I think it's just because our taste buds were underdeveloped back then. We had this mindset that it was so good and then when time came, we realized it wasn't what we had remembered. The disconnect between our taste and minds.
