It's just nice to see because in most driving games, if you start driving head on into an AI car, it won't move, it just stays on its set path basically.

From what I read on the GTP forums it's one of the design test chambers for the Red Bull F1 Technical team. Those guys over at the forums are assuming/interpreting it as a "build your own F1" mode. But I think it's nothing more but a fancy transition to the logo/ending
