Hey gurus

im planning on heading to stanley park from home, and was just trying to plan the best/"safest" route. i'll end up at the end of barnet highway and i'll be on hastings, is it the best to just take hastings all the way down thru dtes and then hit up stanley or is there another way? just worried that hastings isnt the best road for cycling.

thanks!

Follow the adanac bike route. I'm a big proponent of using designated bike routes vs riding on regular streets whenever possible

yea im wanting to avoid hastings, even driving sometimes is a bit cray lol

i've never rode the adanac bike route all the way down, just quickly checked it out on gmaps, is it pretty easy to follow while riding? like signs n stuff all the way down to downtown?

Super easy. I take it everyday. Just follow the easy signs. There's always someone riding along the route.

Went on a nice ride with my bro to celebrate the one year anniversary since my crash. He was able to snap this pic for me. I apologize for the quality as it was a screen cap from a video and instagram style photo.

did a solo ride this morning, took the advice and took the adanac down to downtown, pretty easy to follow ride, cept a few intersections that has no lights lol. bonked on the way back, had to make a pit stop at le gf's to refill water and grab a banana so worried i wouldnt make it home. did a few cool down laps around the neighborhood at the end, more so to push it to 100k lol. not a crazy ride by any means to the gurus' standard here but im pretty proud ( and tired) that i was able to push home and set furthest distance and most meters climb that i've done so far =)

ps. riding with cough = never doing it again. but i can finally say i did a century ride.

Totally thought I beat my Prospect point goal today, cut my ride short because I wanted to see the results. Get home, upload. Climb Fail. haha. At least it's getting closer. Felt so good though.

Nice, I've been thinking about doing that ride. Looks like you live near me.
