It usually takes about 10-15 min to set up a car and do 3 pulls. Usually, it takes little longer with extremely lowered cars. On the last dyno day, we did 27 cars (9:30 to 4). Waiting time is depends on the flow, but last time, it was less than an hour.

How does the 1/4 mile simulation work?

That's a pretty number of cars within that timeframe. IIRC, the last last last RS dyno day @ Kinetic, we got 25 or 27 cars in until 3:30pm but everybody only got 2 runs.

To do 1/4 runs, you need to know the exact weight of your vehicle and hp @ 50 kmh.

It's pretty accurate, but you can not really launch the car, cause it gets little scatch when you launch your car hard on the dyno.

Who's all going tomorrow :)

I might drop by to check it out, but don't think I'll be rolling on the dyno though.

Still have to adjust my timing on the motor.

Iceman-19 01-22-2010 07:30 PM

Im thinking about bringing the F-350 by.

J-Chow 01-22-2010 08:58 PM

roastpuff 01-23-2010 01:24 PM

Ugh, what a heartbreaker dyno. :(

150WHP - 25% conversion factor as I was told - 200 crank.

Was hoping for better.

For a FWD car, it really should be 15% but because transmissions are so much more efficient than they used to be, I'd say anywhere between 10-12% is a good number. Don't be upset - all it is is just a number. Different dynos provide different output values and this is normal. If you plan on making any performance modifications later on, it is best to go back to Racing Greed so that way you can compare your baseline to your next dyno run in order to be able to get a fair comparison before & after.

Iceman-19 01-23-2010 02:14 PM

They are giving a higher correction factor because it is a Mustang Dyno, and they read lower then other dynos. I made 238rwhp/487rwtq. Corrected from Shawn it was 340hp and 700lbsft at the crank.
