hmmm any updates on the line up? I'd probably be like a last minute drop in if at that...

GabAlmighty 01-23-2010 05:14 PM

How was it?

Roach 01-23-2010 05:29 PM

That dyno is a dream crusher. I think my car put down only 213whp/226 lb/ft of torque last time I went.

I thought something was wrong with my car at first.

What car?

Bath Tussue 01-23-2010 06:27 PM

i lost over 40whp since the last time i was there...
but on the bright side, there is barely any knock (while on the dyno anyway... the knocks came back when i was driving on the street...)

Muskys SS 01-24-2010 04:04 AM

It was another successful day. It was nice to see some old faces and meet some new ones. A lot of nice cars making good power.

480awhp R32 GTR
427awhp 2009 GTR
380awhp 2007 Subaru STI
363whp C63 AMG Benz
358whp C63 AMG Benz
340ish wtq from the 335D bmw
black smoke and 490wtq from Iceman's F350 Diesel

It might actually be more at the crank then that. I was only factoring in 20% drivetrain loss and the fact that our dyno reads around 10% lower then actual. Don't those big diesels have like 25%loss or more through the drivetrain? At 25% drivetrain loss your truck is making 366hp and 749tq at the crank.

Iceman-19 01-24-2010 07:58 AM

That would make a bit more sense, some of the guys on powerstroke.org suggested I should be making around 290rwhp with the mods I have done.

Iceman-19 01-24-2010 08:08 AM

Oh, and if anyone has any videos of my truck, could you post them please? Thanks!

reza 01-24-2010 01:41 PM

put down 231awhp/238awtq, satisfied with the results. i was expecting like 180/200.
who was the operator and the driver? two of the coolest guys i met.
also the 350 was badass

Thanks Reza, I was the operator and Tommy was the driver. Your car was running strong for all stock

freakshow 01-24-2010 04:13 PM

Great dyno day, thanks guys.
My car was thinking that we were just doing an insane burnout, so it cut off fuel at 5500 RPM. I can remove some fuses to prevent that next time I come..

kchan 01-24-2010 04:15 PM

^
freakshow, next time u go let me know
ill come too :D

To data log everything properly on the dyno (especially knock), we have to put some load on the dyno when doing pulls. But, since it was a dyno day for power numbers, we had no load on the dyno at all. However, on our dyno, load or no load doesn't change the power reading.

does it even come accross ur heads that maybe the R32 is highly tuned where as the R35 was STOCK???

TOPEC 01-25-2010 10:14 AM

and to RG, just curious why the sti pulls were done in 3rd gear?
its usually done in 4th some maybe even 5th.

STI pulls were done in 4th gear, 100% sure about that cuz I was driving it on the dyno. Except one or two cars which had hard time to finish the pull in 4th gear, every pull was done in 4th gear.

That R32 was highly tuned racing car, stock R32 will do about 200 at the wheel.
