Hrm...I'll have to come back some other time to re-dyno with a load! :-P My Evo pulled huge amounts of timing! I had a massive (very scary) number of knock sums...and I noticed that I was in totally different load cells than what I normally log on the road! On the road, nothing, 0 knock sums, no timing pulled. I logged right after that on the way home cause the knock counts were so scary!

Anyways, thanks for having the dyno day!

That R32 was highly tuned racing car, stock R32 will do about 200 at the wheel.

C63 dynos a lot higher with 5th gear pulls.

You dyno in whatever gear is a 1:1 rato, and that is generally 4th gear.

The C63 has 7 gears, so the 5th gear is I believed 1:1.

what about cost, do think 100k+ was put into the r32?
and no i only have 1 head

Kev

Kev, what did you put down at Miller Performance last summer? If I got the right guy, I think you were there right before I was. I believe that was a mustang dyno as well.

and ur comparing a highly modified car's power to a bone stock car's power, that isnt a fair comparison is it now?

Here are some videos.

The power figures maybe wrong because I could only hear what I could hear from the sideline. If you know the power figure is wrong, click it and comment with the correct power thanks.

I don't see this person you're describing of, but I do see a giant moving mass blocking almost half of the video.

Some say his dragon pants emit flames at night and that his cousins hijacked his account, all we know is hes not the Stig, but he is the Stig's morbidly obese chinese cousin!

We dyno'd the c63 in 5th gear. On our dyno, the numbers don't change that much when dynoing in different gears. We decide what gear to use on each car by how long it takes to finish the pull without using any electric feedback. So basically we use the inertia from the rollers alone for the load and then choose a gear that will give a nice steady pull time. Higher gears on powerfull cars and lower gears for milder cars. Some cars have a difficult time to spin the rollers when using 1:1 transmission ratio gear. The car take way to long to complete the pull.
