I heard these guys were good and well-priced

I have no real experience with them myself, but wouldn't hurt to give them a call for a quote.

^ Back when I used to rock a 91 Corolla, they did the whole muffler and piping for about $400. It was super duper quiet ;)

OH, and Hoglers isn't too bad either. They're good people :)

I was going to get an exhaust system done there but the guy was being a douche and couldn't give me a straight price.

I got 3 exhaust systems done at Muffler Man in Burnaby and so far it's been good

Was it a weld on muffler? Or a full catback exhaust? And how much was it

Nicler 03-23-2010 09:39 AM

what exactly are you trying to do?
just swap out the muffler?
do that sh*t yourself buddy,
grab an angle grinder, cut the old muffler off if rust
and go from there!

Phil@rise 03-23-2010 09:45 AM

we are equipped for such a job

A question,

How much do muffler shops charge to test a Cat?

AVS_Racing 03-29-2010 10:58 AM

hogler charges around 110 for cut, weld on + make brackets for stainless steel muffler. i might have to redo my muffler though cuz this cheap one is too loud =(

XtC-604 03-29-2010 11:11 AM

pshh just do a straight pipe

No one has ever got their cat tested?

godwin 04-01-2010 02:08 AM

You can't really just get a catalytic converter tested by itself without a motor.

I know that, I am just wondering what the possible fee would be to see the output of my cat is (still connected in my car), to see if it is fully operational.

godwin 04-01-2010 02:14 PM

I don't think typical muffler shop will have a gas analyzer to do that. Most shops charge about 1 shop hour for that.
