Right...

Where have you been living? You know there was a time when someone got shot every week almost? Remember that?

Lol! I like some of the responses.. Especially the random comment "Add oil to your burning pasta so it won't stick" lol..

Actually.. Lesson learned, for future references I'll smile and shrug it off. Honestly, she won today and I lost. But that soon went away when I got stuck on the Alex Fraser for a good hour - ended up going home and not to school.

I had my windows rolled down and sunroof open - the weather was great today!

And to the comment about a female harassing a male, I'm sure you can picture this type of lady. She was very uneducated in terms of the words she chose, the way she drove, and the way she acted.

Thanks for the comedy relief. I honestly cannot bring myself to shout a racial slur at another person and mean it. Though I am really guilty of using the "N" word all the time as a joke with friends.

Also it is quite true with asians being more racial than others. But keep in mind majority if not all of them are from our parents generations or even before that. It is shocking however to see such attitudes lingering in our generation, when we've been taught in school and at home to know better, for the most part.

man..no offense to you, but thats weak.
Let me get this straight, but education will NOT make a person less racist..

In fact many white supremecists, both back in WW II and present, were scientists, politicians, scholars, who are very educated and extremely racist.

Alot of the Extreme Right wing parties in Europe now are led by elites, and these people are very well educated and weathly. Education does not make them less racist.

Racism is a subjective belief that your race is superior than the other races (Note I use the word subjective not objective)

when a trailer trash who is obviously broke, poorly educated and ugly, driving a beater calling you a "chink" (I assume you are educated and financially sound), shes definitely being subjectively racist. Namely she has no reason to look down but all the reasons to look up at you, yet shes still racist.

this can be because shes jealous, angry, or lack of intelligence. but by shrugging it off, you are adding more confidence in her and she will continue to act this way and harrass others. If you truly believe you are on a higher ground, then dont just shrug it off, teach her a lesson. And it doesnt necessarily mean you have to be angry and ruin your day.

I like it how you point out right away that they are 'un-educated', for all you know, a Harvard grad lawyer could have been telling you off.

so fuck you. I am educated, and I guess you must be too, and think you are above everyone else.

so, eat a dick. /thread.

As an EI male I can tell you that no one's ever made a racial slur to my face during a road rage incident. Most of the time it's swearing and flipping the finger so it's obvious this bitch had major anger management issues.

Well, Chinese are usually stereotyped as small, vulnerable, bad at driving and bad English.

This is a main reason, at least that's what I think, most of the people pick on Asian (Chinese or Korean and Japanese) more often than EI because EI can usually speak better English to fight their way back. If there are more Asian defending for themselves in this kind of situation rather than shrug it off, I think racial slurs or name calling would be decrease by whole lot. They would still be racist, but you would hear less things that are uncalled for.

raaawwwrrrr

saiko 01-20-2010 04:56 PM

saiko doesn't mean psycho, atleast that's not what I intended.

I can quite confidently say that she was not educated. I will even bet a significant wager. Often people can tell if you're intellectual or not simply by your body language and your actions. So dizzystar, no thanks to the dick. You can have them all if you please.

Often educated people do not act in the ways I witnessed. Jingwu3 you do bring up a big point in not to roll over, but I don't feel that I am in a position that can make any changes to this persons unfortunate mindset. I was always tought to let them go and that it is up to the other person to learn about their unacceptable behavior in society or have someone else who has a much shorter temper to teach her. And it is frightening that people with education such as scientists, professors, leaders, and lawyers who are extremely racist.

I suppose there are certain forms of education. One being a successful scholar and the other being a philosophically open minded person. You don't have to be a scientist to know that racism isn't right.

I've taken many good things from this, appreciate all the responses and the many different approaches.

Take what you can from this, because I know I have. Thanks again!

As for approaching her, I don't think that's a good idea. She was pretty big, and I'm quite a small guy that doesn't scream "intimidation".

That's why she acted the way she did. I'm not super big, but I'm not small. I have a look/stare that would burn a hole through most people. Usually, that's all it takes. You really can't take too much of a chance these days by getting out of your car. So many crazy people with guns and shit. I carry a knife and wear steel toe shoes (causes a lot of body damage - both to person and vehicle), but I no longer bother. It simply isn't worth the aggrevation and possible law suit.

I really have chilled out over the years. I'm a gently pussy now, LOL. Besides, there are other ways to squeeze shit out of an asshole - after the fact.

Yeah, seen that done. I would give the peace sign and blow a kiss and tell her she's hot. "Pull over, baby, I want to do you now!" You're so hot when you're angry like that. LOL. It's even better when the woman is actually fugly and they know it.

Yeah, I know........ immature, but funny as hell.

rsx 01-20-2010 05:22 PM

You didn't even mouth her off?

slammer111 01-20-2010 05:48 PM

Whip our your cell phone and start filming, then throw onto YouTube under "Ugly fat chick with road rage" :)

If your cell phone doesn't have a camera, just start driving like a C-lai instead. Nothing pisses them off more than when you "don't understand" their racial slur.

To be honest though OP, using the horn is asking for road rage. Unfortunately in this part of the world it means "f*ck you" as opposed to "watch it, I'm right here" everywhere else. Next time just let it slide. I think I use my horn in traffic at most twice a year. It's not worth the hassle if they jump out and ding your vehicle.

illicitstylz 01-20-2010 06:09 PM

1. drive in front of her
2. she will tailgate the shit out of you
3. downshift without revmatch nor braking
4. ??????
5. PROFIT

People often think they're invincible when they're in a car so they'll have a whole different mentality. Once, I was running short on time for a morning class so I was driving faster than usual, yet this asshole was tailgating me like mad, making gestures and etc, trying to pass. I gunned it when he had the chance to change into the next lane to pass me, and he followed me all the way into the parking lot. It turned out that he was my TA for the class that I was late for and he's a completely different person off the roads. :lol

But yea... I've done a few crazy things in the past regarding road rage...

-Another RS member and I chased after a 335i all the way down from Cambie to Alderbridge on No.3 road during rush hour, intercepted and blocked him off, got outta the car with a telescopic baton, and was gonna go apeshit on him until everyone around started honking and he got back in his car and drove off.

-Blocked this tailgater who fingered me earlier on the 91 highway from changing lanes into the exit lane. He was going from New West to Richmond as well, but I just stayed beside him the whole time, speeding up when he speeds up, and braking when he slows down as well until a few feet before the exit lane separates. I gave that fucker a nice big wave with a smile as I watched him unwillingly make his way to Surrey. :haha:
