Once a week I look forward to my white trash guilty pleasure, Cops.

It comes on at 8pm on Ch.28 (Fox) and goes for a full hour. Two episodes.
This is some of the only broadcast television I watch so I'm a little pissed that I see "No Video Input" broadcast over the sound of some Chinese drama show.

What the shit? Fuck you, Shaw cable!

cops is still on? man that show rocked in the earily 90's.

Haha just turned to channel 28 and a women said "Close the door, the bitch is coming up" in chinese.

I don't get that "No Video Input" thing on Shaw that often nowadays, but my cable signal skipped like a motherfucker during the Canucks game. The Punjabi coverage of HNIC didn't though.

for me, the video was blacked out with no cable

for me through Shaw Digital, the sound (only) skips (mutes) every once in a while (but regularly so)... but the same program watched on my regular cable tv in the other room doesn't skip at all.

so it's either my digital box that is causing the sound to skip or it's the Shaw Digital signal itself... kinda annoying... sometimes it's the pivotal part of the show.. like "and the murderer is... [muted]"

Ditch Shaw, get Bell plus Bell has better overall picture/sound quality.

I haven't had the EPG guide or any analog cable service for the last 4-5 days. I can watch the digital channels on the box (no VOD though), but have to press the number buttons a couple times to get recognized and everything is extremely slow. No word from them yet on what the problem is...not do they seem to care.

i called shaw in dec asking if they still hav student plan pricing
they said no but its coming back in january

i drive all the way to surrey today to get it activated, customer rep says they don't have it, and MIGHT come back in april

i was going to watch cops tonight and had the same issue... then i tried to figure out what channel that canto belonged to

and it turned out it was Channel 8s saturday chinese movie (i totally forgot about this) turned out to be a movie ive wanted to see but totally forgot about

about Hong Kongs corrupt police which resulted in the creation of the ICAC

4? u can have 4 PVRs? i thought they only allow 2 PVRs per household??

Really? my friend asked me how many tv's I have and he said he will get me pvr's for them. That would suck if it was only 2!

I called shaw last week and they had an appointment set up for me on Jan 26. Are you doing an upgrade or trying to get a problem fixed?

That doesn't sound right (maybe it was just 2 in that deal?). Only Telus TV limits the number due to the bandwidth they use (1HD+(1 or 2)SD boxes). There shouldn't be a physical limit for Shaw at all...
