damn I used to buy mohawk because they had 90 for the same price as others 87 thats the only reason why i went to mohawk, now mohawk changed the lowest octane (90) to 87. i always thought i got better milage on chevron though so I started using it, now i guess im gonna get the same milage on chevron gas as i did mohawk. bahhhhh

Just a heads up next time you go fill up at Chevron...
Source??? My sister works in the lab at the burnaby refinery and hasn't said anything, but then again I have never asked.. Lemme find out..

the Mohawks changed from 90 to 87 octane because some city's put in a local by-law's requiring all gas stations to offer the most inexpensive grade of gasoline. The only one I have seen that still offers 90 for the price of 87 is the one out at silverdale right before mission

Chevron's had the notices posted on their pumps for the last couple weeks already. 87-91 octane say "May contain upto 10% ethanol" 94 octane is marked "contains no ethanol"

The down side of blended fuels is that your motor has to burn more blended fuel to perform the same amount of work as it would burning an unblended gasoline

I just checked and Shell has ethanol too. 10% on 87, 5% on 89. Anyone know about petro? If petro has, then I'll stick with Chevron.

All Gas stations will have ethanol blend with their lower octane gas. This is now implemented by the government.

So yes Petro, shell, everyone will have ethanol..

Sucks
