I am totally supportive of non violent protest, we need it in a democracy.
But...
The more these retards smash stuff, the happier I am my tax dollars went to the olympics and not to them...
When I was growing up, my parents put a strict emphasis on respect for other people's property. Obviously these people never had the same values put into them when they were young.

non-violent protests for a good cause is important.
For example, protesting against clear-cutting important forest regions.
