@Ronin - bumped incase you didn't see it, and for anybody else

also, there's no keychains with mittens, only the bigger plushes have mittens

JSALES 03-04-2010 12:43 AM

would the bigger plushes with mittens be more "rare" than without mittens?

Ronin 03-04-2010 12:55 AM

Thanks folks. I'll grab one when I can.

Hey check it out. I just got a response from HBC about making more hoodies. I told them I did not want to pay anyone off Craigslist for one.

It would be silly if they didn't at least produce a few more. It's like printing money.

skyxx 03-04-2010 01:33 AM

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Sidney-Crosby-Tea...item27afbf9010 Lol at this!

My buddies ran into Linden, Marleau, Pronger and got them to sign their Jersey's during the last day of the olympics. Lucky bastards!

I should bid on this so if I win it I can wear it to St. Peirre's (UFC) fight. :lol

I'm assuming they want to keep it as "special" as possible. They should atleast keep producing the mittens. :lol That's easy money right there. Who wouldn't want to buy $10 Red mittens?

I could understand if it was a high fashion brand or a sort of indie underground streetwear sort of thing...or even Nike if they were producing limited shoes...but The Bay? It's quite safe to say that they have never and will NEVER produce anything as popular as the Vancouver 2010 line of clothing.

They would be silly not to cash in while the demand is still high.

Yes there is. Not with the mittens, though.

If anybody is still looking for some plushies or other Olympic items, if you're accredited, head down to the Uniform Accreditation Venue (The Forum) at the PNE. The merch shop has tons of plushies and other Olympic items.

I bet there are a lot of grandmas here on revscene that would disagree. Bay Days and Scratch & Save is like crack for the seniors.

Someone else from RFD got a different reply:
Quote:

just finally got a response to my heated email to HBC about completely dropping the ball on this merchandise, apparently I'm not the only one to complain.

seems they are going to continue some production.. or I should say 'reproduction' .. I take that has the items to be replicas of the original item quality, meaning, less than. the items in the stores is of lower quality already than the actual items the athletes wore (to sell at what HBC calls a reasonable price point), the reproductions with be less than the first line of stock.

saving all the blah blah blah.. here's the meat and potatoes of the reply:

However we are looking at reproducing some of our key items based on the
tremendous response which we hope to have available within the next 45
days.

We are also considering the development of a new fall 2010 line that
will reflect some of the most popular items in the Team apparel that
will be available in stores in time for back to school shopping.

Regards,

Ananya
