well it was about a year and a half ago I got the ticket, and I went 2 weeks ago. Geee I wonder if they processed it yet? mmmmmmhhh, if I got caught driving tho...that would be a different story ;)

cheaps not even the reason, i am not guilty of the crime so I dont pay.

I was on the highway and a cop was abt 10 cars ahead so I was staying behind going abt 100-110.

As Im traveling in the left lane, I see a driver changing lanes like mad and saw it was a cop car. He started coming up fast so I immediately moved over to the right to let him pass and he followed me.

Then he turend on his cherries and said I was going 130-140. I told him I wasnt speeding and he asked me "Oh you dont think you were going that fast?" I said "I know I wasnt going that speed". Regardless he said I was speeding and gave me a ticket, and did a burnout while merging back in on the highway.

Suprisingly 15mins later on the highway I see him pulling over another Canadian vehicle.

I'm not paying cuz I didnt speed, and I didnt dispute it because there is no chance in hell I can make it down there anyways so I took a chance and it work

So.. uh.. serious question here:


What do you expect to happen?

^^ tickets get written off in the system, uncles friend is a computer programmer who helped design their ticketing record system for WA. You can pass the border freely, just dont get caught driving in the county where you were caught for

Earlier this month, I was questioned about my pedobear sticker on rear finish panel.

and border cop asked if i have any CP or laptop on board. lol

border security: "what's that character decal on your car?"
Me: "uhhh Pedobear......" border
Security: "what's pedo?" Me: "Pedophile"
border security: "sir, do you have a laptop in your car? we are looking for pedophilia and such"

yeup my friend got thrown into jail for not paying his speeding ticket like over 2 years ago. No questions asked. They just pull you over and throw you in with no chit chats.

He had forgot to avoid driving through that state b/c it was so long ago and he didn't think anything of it as he was just passing through.

But thanks to the OP for bringing this up. Now I have 2 stories to help reinforce to friends why they should be paying off tickets, especially in the states.

Could've been a lot worse, my buddy's idiot cousin had a Pedobear sticker on his luggage while going through customs. They confiscated his laptop, went through his luggage, stripped search including a cavity examination and was questioned and detained for over 3 hours causing him to miss his flight :haha:

I highly doubt that.

I received a ticket in Delaware (I was there on business but was living in Colorado at the time) and the State of Colorado sent me a letter asking me to pay the fine in Delaware or they would suspend my license.

That in itself makes me think that the ticketing system is interlinked probably nationwide.

Also, you mentioned that your uncles friend did the ticketing system for the state of Washington. Wouldn't that mean that any cop in Washington could find out your ticket history and not just the county cops?

Usually i just say its a cartoon bear or "pedestrian bear". I never actually say pedobear and I doubt border police will know many internet memes :P
