lol

You can ignore tickets and they won't do anything about it if you never step foot in USA soil again.

Apparently you did (and forgot about the ticket or what not), and you got owned.

End of story.

You people lack common sense. Why the hell would you joke around at the borders?
Does it look like a time to be joking?
Do you think joking makes the situation any funnier so that we can all have a good time, and get through the process any faster?
You give them any reason to make the process longer, then it will be longer.

Even if I was a dumbass with a pedosticker on the back, I would simply tell them it's a decal of a bear. Why the hell would anyone be stupid enough to associate it with anything pedophilia.

I was on the highway and a cop was abt 10 cars ahead so I was staying behind going abt 100-110.

As Im traveling in the left lane, I see a driver changing lanes like mad and saw it was a cop car. He started coming up fast so I immediately moved over to the right to let him pass and he followed me.

Then he turend on his cherries and said I was going 130-140. I told him I wasnt speeding and he asked me "Oh you dont think you were going that fast?" I said "I know I wasnt going that speed". Regardless he said I was speeding and gave me a ticket, and did a burnout while merging back in on the highway.

Suprisingly 15mins later on the highway I see him pulling over another Canadian vehicle.

I'm not paying cuz I didnt speed, and I didnt dispute it because there is no chance in hell I can make it down there anyways so I took a chance and it work

Cops are rarely ever wrong. And remember, they can pull you over even if you're going 1 km/h (or mph) over. And if you're following flow of traffic, you can THINK you're not speeding, but it doesn't exempt you from being pulled over. Maybe it's bad luck, but don't be a baby about it.

If you don't want to pay, that's fine... just don't go back to the states again, or you'll end up being a bigger noob, like OP.

wow pedobear has done it again lol

net lesson: pay your tickets.

True, back in the day they'd post your name in the paper and shortly after that they'd make there rounds arresting everyone who owed over a certain amount. My dad actually got arrested in the early 80's for parking tickets.

Yup, now I'm just waiting for one of the guys on RS who ordered Pedobear luggage tags in that KLM Luggage tag thread to post and complain about being detained and hassled by customs for having it on their luggage. :haha:

Yep.

RS, lacking common sense since 2001! (I think, anyways).

Want to have fun? Start joking about bombs while standing in airport security. For extra credit, do this while talking to an Iranian friend in pre-clearance to the united states.

Also the fact that PEDOBEAR ISN'T EVEN FUCKING FUNNY. It's a retarded inside joke internet nerds use to identify other internet nerds as they snicker to each other coz only they know what it really means.

Yes it was funny at first, but to go through the effort of printing decals on your car? Pedobear is played. The Fuck. Out.

I got a massive speeding ticket back in...'03 for going through Oregon at...quite a high speed. I didn't pay it. Never had any trouble at the border.

I remember looking this up. Not sure if I remember correctly but if you get a ticket on the highway, those are state troopers and as a result, it is under state jurisdiction. Therefore, if you get a ticket in Washington, you should pay that ticket. However, if you get one elsewhere, then you don't really have to bother. I remember getting one while driving through Wyoming once too (don't ask why the fuck I was in Wyoming...) and I tossed that one too.

dimsum119 03-29-2010 03:42 PM

^^Exactly what I was trying to say

wingies 03-29-2010 03:58 PM

Yea back in 06 I got caught going 150 in that skagit county or whatever. I didn't pay at all, got a few letters here and there but that was it. Went across the border a bunch of tuimes with absolutely no hassle

I told a luggage scanning lady at Pearson that the little pump she was looking at in my luggage was to blow up my boot. We had a good laugh after I explained in further detail that it was to inflate the air pockets inside my cast. I imagine that conversation would have gone a lot worse if there was a different person there and if I wasn't being wheeled around by one of the airline reps.

Got a ticket last week, better pay it.
On the back of the ticket it says I have 15 days to respond but does anybody know how long before it shows up in their system at the border?

I don't understand what you're saying - what's so special about Washington, compared to Wyoming at least? They're both States. What if you get a ticket on a highway from state troopers in Wyoming? Wouldn't that also be under state jurisdiction?

ShyGuy 03-30-2010 08:52 AM

The point he's trying to make is that he's not gonna be driving back to Wyoming anytime soon where as he will frequently travel to washington state because it's so close. If you get a ticket in Wyoming, they can't throw you in jail if they catch you driving in washington state.

Gumby 03-30-2010 08:54 AM

Ahhh ok, makes perfect sense.

Psykopathik 03-30-2010 10:16 AM

FYI you can dispute a ticket via mail. i did and i won.

dimsum119 03-30-2010 10:17 AM

^^ do you mind sharing how? dont u have to go down and show up for court?

4runner21 03-31-2010 04:09 AM

hey guys,

pcking someone up who is crossing the into Canada using the truck crossing.

is there somewhere(still in Canada)...like a gas station ,restaurant, where I can park my car and have a coffee.

somewhere that will be of walking distance to my friend who is crossing by foot?

I just don't want to accidentally get into a wrong lane and be forced to cross the border into U.S.

Let me know, appreciate you taking the time to reply(whoever you are)

Thanks in advance.

Ronin 03-31-2010 04:17 AM

Hang at the duty free?

4runner21 03-31-2010 04:28 AM

Thanks Ronin.

So at duty free can I get a coffee and possibly grab food there?

or is it strictly ciggarettes, booze and colognes and shite?

Thanks for replying.

I just wanted to make sure i can just head to duty free...hang out, pick up friend...and head back towards Coquitlam...without having to deal with customs.
