now the rule:
there's no point to just start listing the most expensive car parts, biggest turbo or the cars like bugatti veyron in this case. The point is tuning, and building best performance for the bang of the buck.

Must list estimated hours to tune/install parts too.

I'll start:

Car:
1993 Toyota Supra TT $30,000

Parts:
GReddy T88H @ 33PSI
1000cc injectors
HKS 272 Intake/exhaust Cam
AEM EMS
HKS twin power ignition
3" down pipe, mid pipe
4" intake
HKS Waste Gates
Headers
3" inter-cooler

Cost of parts: $12,000

Estimated Labour: 60 hours at $60/hr = $3600
Total cost: $45,600
Lol, no way you'll be building a 1000hp / 850rwhp Supra for 45k..... I've read some build threads and the cost is more like near 100k... you pretty much need to replace everything with that kind of power... Also a 93' TT for 30k would be mint with very low milees, you can easily find a nice 98' for 30k.

lesson i learned from car builds, take ur initial budget, then double it. That's your final cost to complete the project.

nissan RB30 II block
spool rods
CP pistons
OEM crank, balanced and coated
RIPZ cradle
RIPZ large sump
new version HKS oil pump
ATI 1200hp crank damper
HKS T51R SPL turbo
Hyper tune intake manifold W/ single throttle
272 cams
big valves
tomei type C head kit
FullRace manifold
4" turbo back exhaust

1000whp right there

That is 100% BS. Obviously you've never worked on a high HP Supra before. They are nowhere near as reliable as they are made out to be (unless you spend big $$$). This is how it basically goes (same for Nissan Skyline).

- Crank the boost way up.
- Do a dyno run at 800-1000HP and make a video for proof.
- Post the video and show the world your "1,000 HP Supra".
- Crank the boost back down and drive your 500-600HP Supra that made 1,000HP one single time.
- Continue to tell people you own a 1,000HP Supra.

Just look at the Top Gear video of the 1,000HP Skyline. Did you see where they spent almost $300,000 to build the engine? Of course it'll make huge power and be rock solid reliable. At that price it better be.

People who think you can make a reliable 1,000HP for $20K in bolt ons are beyond dreamers.

And FYI, the only way you're going to make 1,000HP for a reasonable price and have good reliability and drivability is with an American V8. Sorry import lovers, those are the facts.

I know of a car making, I think, over 900rwhp on the stock internals in 2jz. Mind you he makes sure not to hit full boost in the low rpm's.

just curious, if boost is rpm reliant, how can he make full boost in low rpms even if he tried??

Depending on the power band of his car.

In my old car I would hit/get full boost around 3.5k... If I went easy on the go pedal I could lag it and not get full boost until 4.5k...

edit: and sorry I lied earlier, said car is making over 800rwhp on the stock internals.

thought you guys would like to see i am still pushing the limits of the stock rods and pistons in motors other than the old trusty volvo..

just cant say enough about this stock 100,000 mile 2JZ..
Made 873whp today at 28psi and 75shot.. just fantastic..
819whp at 30psi only and 873 at 27psi and 75shot

this is graph is based off the rpm but the rpm pickup dident get the last few RPM that made the extra power..

http://www.youtube.com/v/Z0Nh0a328Q0

I am really pleased now i just need a manual trans that can shift that power..

-Sam

and a response to him gaining close to 500hp through 1-2rpms

actually it normally has a smoother power band than that i just waited till 6k to hit it so that the rods dont get too bent from the torque down low..
-Sam

thats more clear, i thought you were implying that he has the ability to mash the pedal and get full boost at like 2k rpm on a big single if he wanted, lol.

IMO, having that much power and having to stay off the gas in fear of blowing your motor just to be able to lay down big dyno numbers is dumb.

dyno numbers mean nothing if you can lay it down at the track.

its no wonder supra's have reps. as dyno queens.

The motor mentioned above is in a 240SX. When it was making 780whp it ran a 9.92@147mph.

Yeah, dyno queen.
