I'm surprised no one has mentioned Fossil yet. http://www.fossil.com/en_US/shop/men...|0||p_weight|0
Check 'em out at Metro or Oakridge Mall

Yeah, places where I'm going the watch will get banged up. That's why nothing over $150. I'm a gadgets kinda guy, so I'd love to have those "extras" even though I might not need it. I also figured that $150 is an ok compromise to having the "extras" while having a cheap enough watch I don't mind getting banged up a bit.
There are much more expensive watches out there that look great and cost a lot more. I'll save my pennies for those ones, but for now I need one that has a few bells and whistles. I usually don't even wear a watch because I just use my phone but where I'm going to be I won't be using my cellphone at all.

Fossil are crap, it will break as soon as it gets banged up a bit.
If you are going to HK any time soon, you can get an entry level G-Shock under $100 (and yes it's legit). It won't have all the whacky features, but it'll last forever.

I think locally entry level G-Shocks can be pretty cheap too here. I might have to look into asking my HK contacts to check prices for me...I quite like that Riseman.

Yup it's my main watch now. I got the special edition all-black one Those are about $200 in Japan, and $400 in HK (for some reason)

Only thing is that Casio just left all the compass watches to the ProTrek/Pathfinder line

Citizen Eco-Drive
You never have to replace the battery (solar powered rechargeable)
and most of them have a perpetual calendar so you never have to change the date if it has one (well up to 2100 anyways)

The Suunto Vector is a full featured outdoorsman watch and comes in several colours. It has a altimeter, barometer, thermometer, and digital compass. It retails for ~$200 at MEC or Coast Mountain (now called Atmosphere), but can be found in the $100-150 range on sale or on eBay.
They were worn many times on Stargate SG-1, and Mark Wahlberg wore one in Shooter.
My watch is the Suunto Military X-Lander. It's basically a Vector, but with an anodized aluminum housing, carbon fiber inserts, and a mineral glass front. It's around $350.

^The SUUNTO is a good suggestions, albeit is somewhat out of your price range.
Although having an excess amount of gadgets is awesome, one of the most important things, imo, is a nice big screen. That's one particular fault I find with G-Shock watches, the screen is so cramped with what are (I'm assuming) useless dials and what not. After some contemplation, I got a Timex Ironman 100-Lap Flix.
Fantastically large dial, easy to read at any moment's notice. My budget was under $100 w/ taxes and that is the watch I came up with. G-shock is great and that's why they've been around for so long but just make sure you compare some big dial/screen watches and a G-shock before you make your final decision.
Seriously, a big screen makes a lot of difference not just to your eyes but positively contributes to the style of the watch.
You may also want to consider how loud the alarm is, if you're going to be dependent on it.
