I understand some of you might of gotten more than one interview before getting your medical. Is that a good or a bad thing? I only received one interview before being sent to a medical. Anyways I find out tomorrow if I get hired on.

Most people usually get two interviews. Few exceptions are as follows: You get interviewed by Ed, and the other lady there. That counts as your two interviews. Or, you just impress them enough and you only get the one.

Hmm, no call, even though it says on the website I'm still "in a pool" on the website. Start date is march 14 but I guess I didn't get an offer.

Well, you will know soon. If the start date is for the 14th, you can be called up to 2 weeks prior. That's all the notice I got.

Yeah it is 2 weeks now to start date and no call, so I don't think I'm getting an offer. Oh well, not sure what could be wrong with my history, no work gaps aside from going to college, no criminal, no medical problems. Must be more qualified people that were in the pool I'm guessing. Hopefully I can find work soon :D.

they called me 3 days before start date, if you already did ur piss test then i'm sure u got the job. just gotta wait in line whoever applied online first.. if u not in for the march one then probably for the next.

How long does it take for them to review? I applied for a few positions on Feb 22, and I still have not been reviewed yet.

That gives me hope, but I'm just going to assume I didn't get it since I was told I would be given a 2 week notice by the recruiter. I've already turned down a couple jobs in the past month cause I wasn't sure of this CN thing. I wish they would of gave a more direct answer instead of beating around the bush.

I still have one app in for review from 4 months ago, but the one that I got an interview for got reviewed in one night and was offered an orientation the next day.

I have no idea what they are planning to do with everyone, if they are still hiring. maybe ship people out just like kamloops guys

To be fair, the rest of us in Class 1 were saying the same thing a while ago. There will be need, I'm sure, during the summer. Things always pick up then.

High School, and that's about it. Experience in other railways, or heavy industry are an asset though.

i applied for an electrician position with CN and it says im in a pool of candidates, I passed the interview,did the medical and physical and received an email saying i succesfully passed the screening and am in the pool. Does this mean im in? its been 11 days since i heard that i passed the screening, starting to wonder, anyone have the same thing happen?

i applied for conductor in vancouver. i mostly have customer service/healthcare industry experience. hope they're still hiring, need another job asap!!!

Yeah, I waited almost 2 months, but that was due to the olympics. I doubt they would spend the money on the medical just to have you wait around for months on end.
