I doubt it. When I unlocked mine they needed my imei code and had to wait to get the unlock codes from htc. I assume it'll be the same thing for the z. I have to admit after looking at some photos it looks very nice, the aluminium back looks amazing compared to my desire.

I wanted this phone after reading all about it but when I saw this video, in the Nexus One thread, I am definitely going to get it now. Not sure if you watched it yet.

No. Unlock codes are phone and provider specific.

BTW the clock skin for Beautiful Widgets is available from within the app.. I have to send him the latest version though

Hinge seems fine to me. It's not tight like your typical sliders but it not gonna flip open on it's own.
