Had fun, good turn out. Favorite was the mazda with the huge trollface on the back, even if it was a mazda. Also, I'm happy nobody stole my oil cap.

One bad thing, though. Someone tipped our buddy's CBR in the back of the lot, snapped his clutch cable and scatched up his fairings, they stood it back up and left him to find out himself when trying to leave. Had to get it towed on a flatdeck.

It was a freaking gong show getting all the Civic guys in. Their 50 was like 75+, same thing with other clubs bringing more cars than they had registered, pushing other clubs out of their RESERVED spots. Massive lineups formed because people were taking their sweet time parking. I knew the guy with the Civic wagovan with the train horn, awesome shit.

Good times though.

Dude, you were scaring my girlfriend with those horns haha, she was covering her ears when we were walking down the street when you were leaving the parking lot area.

It was nice to see so many people make a food bank contribution. Another year, another successful RS Summer meet

Yeah that was gay. He had to get a tow truck and bring it to my garage until he figure things out.

CorneringArtist 08-29-2010 06:25 PM

Anyone know the translation of the Chinese on the back window of those two cars at the meet?

Good times though.

The 13-14 Cars we brought to fill our 15 reserved spots were told to turn around, park and walk.... We got there at about 11:15 after the 20 minute lineup.... I understand it was mega packed but it's lame that a ton of cars who came with clubs were told to find elsewhere to meet....

I did have fun though :) Lots of nice cars and thanks to all the volunteers/mods who helped out and went to all the trouble of organizing!

GabAlmighty 08-29-2010 07:24 PM

Ya, woke up this morning and wasn't down...

BIG THANK-YOU!

Thanks for hosting another great RS Summer Meet for 2010.
Takes a lot to plan spaces for so many cars and organizing permits and such.

Much Thanks to !SG, head organizers and all the staff/volunteers that came out early/stayed til the end to plan a successful event!!

Cheers!!

My brother who volunteered with me said that VancouverCivics guys were getting pissed off because we didn't have enough space for their club. When you say 50 cars and bring more than 50, obviously you're not gonna be able to park with your crew. We even had to go as far as parking them on the gravel between the two lots and removing reserve spaces for clubs who showed up late.

Cereal Killer 08-29-2010 08:12 PM

Much thanks to the RS crew for organizing a great meet. Looking forward to the next one :)

Yea that's mega lame. I don't wanna start pointing fingers though, it is good to hear that they had such a good turn out (better than they expected), but we gotta be fair :) Its hard for Hyundai to even get out 5-6 guys, I was suprised that we had as many as we did, and even more suprised when we were told to leave :(

Next year we will just get there super early!

monkeywrench 08-29-2010 08:21 PM

My first RS meet, will definitely attend the next ones hereon, thanks RS and the volenteers setting up the meet
