Went on Saturday, up near Hope and there was a fair number of people. Got there at 6AM, left with my daily limit (2) by about 10AM. My friend went around noon and said there were less people, and also caught his limit as well.

Looks like a very good run this year.

I'd love to hear if anyone has had luck closer to Vancouver as I'd like to do some fishing during the weekday.

I only have a cortland 9 ft 5 wt and a cortland crx reel lol which I busted up pretty good few weeks ago... Well long story short I was targetting bull trout but there was tons of Chums around and I fouled hook a fish and he ripped me down stream to my backing and messed up my reel pretty good.

Anyways but I have a floating line... And its a cortland as well

there's secret lakes in Vancouver Island where only few locals knows
You drive around 1~2hr on logging road which requires you to have 4x4..
quiet a few of the lakes there holds billions of trouts.. rainbow and brook
if you fish with rod and reel, you'll at least catch 10 a day.. if you fly fish with right fly, you'll need to be fit before going there because 100~200 is not hard number to get not to mention their size are quiet large for rainbows..

There's a difference even within BC whether you are in freshwater or saltwater (tidal).
