Going to be an Avengers 2, with Thor 2, Iron man 3, and Captain America 2 before it. Those 3 go their own separate ways to "do some growing" then come back to the Avengers.

No love for Hulk :okay:

I'm thinking in IM 3 War Machine will have a bigger role and Tony will fall into the alcoholic abyss.

Got my AVX tickets...20 minutes from now!

areyez 05-10-2012 10:40 PM

HonestTea 05-10-2012 11:47 PM

Watched it on Tuesday, $12.50 per ticket Ultra AVX 3D, since VIP was sold out :(

Pretty good movie, had some good laughs and action, definitely want to watch it again and I can't wait for Avengers 2! I'm guessing it's gonna be released in 2013? or 2014?

FUCK! Missed the 2nd bonus scene, only saw the first one :okay:

9/10 easily!

Watched it at 10:45 last night, not busy at all, as if you were watching an average movie. Then again, it was a Thursday and not Saturday.

As for my take on the movie; Joss Whedon made it fucking awesome to watch. Has his usual style of one-liners during action scenes to keep it from being too tense and serious. Not sure how much of it was the actors making their changes to the script, though

Watched it in VIP. Awesome.

Now I want shwarma.
If you didn't stay until the end you missed out.

mikemhg 05-12-2012 12:43 PM

VIP is wack. They should fucking tell you ahead of time they don't have their booze license yet to serve in the actual theater. I couldn't pick my friggin seats on the phone, and get there and find out I can't have a drink in the theater. Fuck VIP, last time I pay for that bullshit.

As for the movie, it was great. Hawkeye and Black Widow feel like they don't belong though, when Thanos comes in the mix, WTF can these two even do? The balance of power in the team is a little strange, not the best mix of Avengers from the comics IMHO.

Tetsugen 05-12-2012 01:45 PM

I saw it again today in Imax 3D, it really does make a huge difference compared to the normal 2D. What a great freaking movie, I wonder how soon it'll break the billion dollar box office mark.

trd2343 05-12-2012 02:15 PM

I probably rate the movie 6.5-7/10. Something along 3rd Transformers movie.

I just hated Captain America's suit. In the First Avengers, it had this more rugged look. Now it looks like a jumpsuit, even worse than Spiderman's.

And he's called Capt for a reason, because he has leadership qualities. He looked lost in the movie, and the times he's giving out commands, it sounded weak, as trying to prove that he can at least do something.

edit:
Now I know why I hate it even more, it looks exactly like the costume that he was wearing in the first movie when he was doing some cheerleading shit.

I agree with you about cap, Chris Evans just doesn't portray Steve Rogers very well. Everytime I see him fight I just imagine him screaming Flame On !

I also wish they based his suit more closely to the Ultimates universe variations:

Modern:

WWII:

It does look like the Ultimate Captain America.

I just think the main problem was the costume was too sleek and it made him look skinnier than he was in Captain America: The first Avengers. That or he lost weight before the movie?

Also his helmet was just shaped really oddly and they covered up the ears. But they still made it pretty damn close to the actual costume universe.

My guess is the ww2 outfit is looser and has bigger shoulder pads making him look bigger.

Hopefully the tweak it quite a bit for the next movie to make him look bigger.

trd2343 05-12-2012 03:27 PM

^Yea, it's the helmet, it just looks weird, and I was hoping it would look better in film when I first saw the pictures.

I thought he did an OK job in portraying Cap in the first movie.

I kind of understand what the director's trying to do, to portray his inner struggle coming into the modern world, hence, looking lost at times, but the moment he puts on the Avengers' suit, hard to take him seriously.

Particularly in this movie, he just doesn't have that demeanor of a well-respected and confident war hero.

The movie was still enjoyable, but too much Stark, and for a god, Thor doesn't display a lot of god-power.

These were grabbed from another forum but I think that it would somewhat explain the Hulks change of heart.

Spoiler!

Pooface55 05-13-2012 06:52 PM

Good movie. Hulk was hilarious.

Still think the newest batman series is the best "comic to movie".

Ronin 05-13-2012 09:42 PM

Batman is much more...high concept? Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are great movies as movies...like as a piece of film-making, they're in the top 1% of movies while The Avengers is a popcorn filck, it's just a different kind of movie.

bigzz786786 05-13-2012 10:18 PM

^i hate it when people compare the new batman to the avengers

two totally different concepts on how the comics were depicted. its really unfair to compare.
