Soundy 05-21-2012 10:36 PM

Saw it in AVX at Colossus tonight... damn, that was a fun, satisfying movie. Loved every minute of it.

Also, the last, LAST scene after ALL the credits... something very familiar about that whole scenario ;)

Gh0stRider 05-22-2012 01:08 AM

just watched AVX @ Riverport. loved it!

9.5/10! Wish the movie didn't end

It was an awesome movie. Very funny. I watched it in 3D but I feel like it didn't really do too much for the movie, tbh. I'm not saying it made the movie worse. It would be just as enjoyable with or without it, imo.

Sadly, I agree. They gave too much airtime to characters with no depth (Black Widow and Hawkeye). The whole movie felt just like a set up for Avengers 2, not an amazing movie on it's own (just like Thor). The movie could have easily done without Black Widow or Hawkeye. They could have done Scarlet Witch to balance out the power on the team. Even Wonderman/Vision, Ant Man/Wasp would be pretty cool. They way they portray Hawkeye is pretty lame.

Barely showed any real teamwork, Capt. A didn't really earn anyone's respect to become the leader. It was more of Iron Man and his teammates than it was Avengers. Loki wasn't that compelling of a villan either, thank god Thanos is the next villan.

dachinesedude 05-31-2012 01:07 PM

^only thing i didnt like about the movie, captain america sucked, ironman seemed like the leader more than him

but really when you go up against those villians, anyone who cant fly is pretty much useless

Characters like Wonderman/Vision, Ant-Man/Wasp are too big to be freshly introduced in the Avengers. They'd need their own solo movies first (Ant-Man/Wasp movie is in the works). Whereas characters like Black Widow and Hawkeye can easily be introduced in Avengers since they are just SHIELD agents...little needs to be sad about their backgrounds.

And I think Captain America already earned everyone's respect with what he did in WW2. He is a living legend in this world and has been for 70 years.

I dunno about this. In the comics, no one respected him until he proved that he could be a leader. Living legend or not they all thought he was an old timer and way out of his league.

No where in the Avengers movie did he actually command the respect he deserved. He didn't really unite the team in anyway expect that one time he told everyone what to do.

DanHibiki 09-28-2012 11:11 PM

Can't believe this was cut from the final version. I felt a scene like this is very important for his character b

i didn't see the captain america stand alone movie, but the scene would have been better suited for that than in avengers
