For anybody that is interested, I just received an email about the Walking Dead ride, that will debut this summer at Universal Studios Hollywood:

More details from IGN:

The Walking Dead Attraction Coming to Universal Studios Hollywood - IGN

Quote:

The Walking Dead will now be an ongoing part of Universal Studios Hollywood, with a year-round Walking Dead attraction coming to the Los Angeles theme park this summer. The attraction was first announced on Talking Dead Sunday night.

For the past four years, The Walking Dead has been a part of Universal’s seasonal Halloween Horror Nights, featuring elaborate mazes based on the hugely popular TV show, and its inclusion has been frequently credited for greatly increasing attendance to the already successful Horror Nights events. The ongoing attraction sounds like it will be a similar experience, as far as an attraction guests to the park walk through, rather than a ride.

The Walking Dead executive producer/director Greg Nicotero and his special effects company, KNB Efx, have partnered with Universal Studios Hollywood for the attraction, with Nicotero’s team constructing prosthetics, using original molds from the series, for the walkers that will be a part of the attraction.

Universal says the Walking Dead attraction, “will create a no-holds-bar experience that significantly intensifies any other iteration previously developed within the theme park. Coupled with authentic walker make-up effects, sophisticated animatronic walkers, substantially more detailed set design and costuming, and highly recognizable props replicated from the series, the attraction will deliver an uncompromised realistic environment that brings guests even further into the most watched show in cable television history.”

Said Larry Kurzweil, President of Universal Studios Hollywood, in a statement, “’The Walking Dead’ is a phenomenon that has successfully and consistently affected the psyche of viewers on a global basis, since its debut. We’re taking its intensity to the next level by collaborating with the show’s award-winning production team to create an authentic living representation of the series that can only be experienced at Universal Studios Hollywood.”

Tonight's episode was good! I kept thinking that Carol was just pretending the whole time, but she actually felt bad for that other woman.

Now that's how you do a bottle episode.

keifun 03-13-2016 11:20 PM

Is the next episode of Flight 462 up yet? I'm into that mini-series as well.

Durrann 03-14-2016 11:19 PM

Maggie was the real bad ass.

TjAlmeida 03-14-2016 11:44 PM

How did you guys interpret carol squeezing the rosary at the end? My initial thought was that it was a reaction to the dude saying he was negan. I think the other girls said we are all negan sort of thing, so now rick thinks negan is dead etc.

Ronin 03-15-2016 10:27 AM

I think some of you guys are wrong. Some of what Carol was doing was acting but a lot of it was her having a personal crisis. She made a list of people she killed (about 18, apparently) and didn't want to kill without having to. She says "No." when Daryl asks if she's okay. I don't think she's afraid of Negan...she has no idea who Negan is or if he died in the satellite building. She's afraid that she's losing her herself.

My problem with that is...it feels somewhat abrupt? Lots of things do after the weird time skip after Carl gets shot. Rick + Michonne feels unjustified because there weren't any signs of it before...just like if Carol had a crisis of conscience regarding killing and what happened with Morgan...it doesn't feel justified.

That being said...badass episode. Carol is the fucking best. Who would've thought she'd be the baddest of them all.

And the redhead was a badass. She's basically almost Carol (or at least Maggie)...she just has no idea Carol has offed more people than her. They're trying to draw parallels between that Saviors Farm Team and Rick's group. Under slightly difference circumstances but if we never met Rick and squad and the show was about the redhead's crew instead...it would probably still be the same show.

dat_steve 03-15-2016 10:46 AM

wait, so are the wolves done and gone?

white rocket 03-15-2016 11:29 AM

So Negan is a group, not a person? A "we are all one" type thing? That's what I'm gathering.

I AM SPARTACUS

chin3se604 03-15-2016 11:43 AM

" We are Borg "

Bad ass episode, hopefully Carol gets a grip of herself

dat_steve 03-15-2016 11:53 AM

Pretty sure Negan is a dude. His group probably adopts their version of his persona to "strengthen" themselves. Like when Primo suddenly went from a defeated prisoner to final seconds badass right before Rick popped him.

Ronin 03-15-2016 01:36 PM

Well, the Borg are a collective without individual identity. "I am Spartacus!" was more of a thing to prevent Rome from being able to kill Spartacus. Not the actual guy but the idea of Spartacus. I find that weird...because that's not what Negan's like in the comics. He's more of a charismatic cult-god leader.

I already found the fact that Paula (?) was the defacto leader of the group pretty weird already. I don't remember any women being in Negan's fighting force.

I hope they don't change him too much because Negan is fucking awesome.

RRxtar 03-15-2016 04:16 PM

i really found it interesting where the red head said "we aren't the bad guys" kind of how Ronin said the show would be about the same if it followed the negan group instead of the rick group. Rick's group aren't the 'good guys' anymore. They also aren't the 'bad guys' either. They are just another one of the collective groups that have formed in this new world that are doing what they have to do to survive.

The only thing that pissed me off this episode was the fucking tape on Carol's hands. Holy was that ever bad costume design.

white rocket 03-15-2016 04:19 PM

I forgot there are comics and you guys read them. LOL! I was just guessing about Negan. I don't follow the comics at all.

All of you thinking Rick is fucked up will just end up being fed to the zombies while Hondaracer and I are living on and surviving :lol

the real question is: how much dick would Hondaracer suck in a zombie apocalypse?

winson604 03-16-2016 11:01 AM

Hondaracer will do anything to survive!

Ronin 03-16-2016 11:53 AM

Hondaracer basically flat out volunteers already now when society is still standing...
