Yeah it's basically right in front of the farm haha

Ronin 03-12-2012 11:44 AM

Now that it's revealed in the show, yes, the zombie infection is independant of bites, scratches, etc. If you die, you come back as a zombie. Everyone has already been infected. The zombie bites induce high fever and kill you.

The source of the infection hasn't been revealed (and probably won't be) in the comics.

DanHibiki 03-12-2012 11:53 AM

And there is a possible explanation to the huge group of zombies in the forest that was talked about in the comics.

Spoiler!

Gh0stRider 03-12-2012 12:04 PM

wonder if the group of walkers coming are the group randall was with??

DanHibiki 03-12-2012 12:13 PM

Randall's group is definitely part of the Governor's since 1)he talked about some bad stuff his group did and 2)they announced the Governor is in season 3.

JKam 03-12-2012 12:44 PM

I'm interested to see how they incorporate the governor/prison storyline for TV. Some of the stuff in the comic is pretty messed up...

GabAlmighty 03-12-2012 01:14 PM

Trying not to hammer through all the comics.. Too expensive! haha.

The Walking Dead Season Finale Clip - TV Fanatic preview

RRxtar 03-12-2012 05:41 PM

when Rick was talking about it getting colder he said something to the effect of "its going to start getting colder soon. winter will come" 2 episodes ago or so. This week Hershel said the swamp is drying up. Logic would point to both of these meaning its probably late summer. So fall (cooler weather is coming) and its been a long summer (no rain for the swamp)

Also I believe Rick and Shane had turned around and were heading back.

Ronin 03-12-2012 05:49 PM

Winter also slows the zombies. I'm pretty sure their hearts aren't beating so their blood isn't flowing and freezes.

I think that was the explanation somewhere.

DanHibiki 03-12-2012 06:19 PM

The sucky thing about being caught up with the comics is not only do you have to wait every month for a new issue, but you can easily finish it in 5 minutes.

DanHibiki 03-12-2012 06:34 PM

Anyone remember that scene from Office Space??

rsx 03-12-2012 06:54 PM

Don't know why they're not reinforcing their defenses, all they did was create a very soft perimeter. Wouldn't digging some trenches help slow down the zombie horde and make it easier for sniping or burning?

mb_ 03-12-2012 07:06 PM

You guys nitpick on too many small (sometimes irrelevant) things

Ronin 03-12-2012 07:10 PM

Yes, because if there's one thing we have too much of in the zombie apocalypse is attention to detail.

so if maggie's sister was sucessful in comitting suicide...she could've potentially taken out everyone in the house :troll:

I disagree. The rick/shane feud was going on for so long it had to end with an intense moment.

Also this show isn't about happy endings, it's about shocking/sad endings. If he went out a hero it woulda been a typical-meh show.

i said this so many times this season

imagine if they all decided to dig a 7 foot trench around the whole farm.

a simple but yet effective defense.

:fulloffuck: :accepted:

Datsun 03-13-2012 12:46 AM

They would have to steal some construction equipment and go at it for a few weeks for a large enough perimeter.

2 n r 03-13-2012 05:31 AM

a single excavator would do WONDERS in a zombie apocalypse. it could even be used to smash zombies

Well if we ever have a zombie apocolypse, I got a 6 acre fenced yard and some diggging equipment on it. All i need is workers.
